Sub:- Direct Recruitment of Sportspersons against sports Quota on West Central Railway.

1. WCR Railway Applications are invited from eligible sports persons in following sports disciplines for Group 'C' posts on West Central Railway as under.

Note:- Allotment of category will be at the discretion of the competent authority and those selected can be posted anywhere on West Central Railway.

4. WCR Recruitment 2009 Eligibility

Sports criteria will be adjudged on the basis of the Sports achievement in championship concluded on or after 01/04/2007.

4.1. Sports achievements for group 'C posts:

Sportsperson who has any of the following Sports achievement in any of the game mentioned as under:

1. Represented the country in the International Championship in Olympic Games, World Cup, World Championships, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. Or
2. Represented the State or equivalent unit, Junior/Senior National Championship and obtained at least 3rd Position. Or
3. Represented a University, in All India Inter-University Championship, organized, under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities and obtained at least 3rd Position in individual event or 2nd Position in team event. Or
4. Represented State or equivalent unit, in the Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category) and obtained 1" Position. Or
5. Represented the country in the international championships in Commonwealth Championships/Asian Championships and obtained at least 3rd position.
6. In Cricket at International level in Senior Category, representation of Main Indian Team in a Test Match or in Limited Overs One Day International Match. At National Level, representation of a State or equivalent Unit or a Zone of India, with the following sports achievements as mentioned against each tournament conducted by BCCI, are also eligible for recruitment in Group C.

7. In Table Tennis, sports person with current All India Ranking up to 16 in Seniors and up to 8 in Juniors shall also be eligible. Only the current Annual Ranking shall be considered.

4.2. Educational Qualification:

Group 'C':- Minimum matriculation or equivalent.

4.3. Age: As on 01.01.2010 minimum 18 years: maximum 25 years:

5. Selection Procedure for WC Railway:

5.1. Selection will be through trial and verification of documents, including for sports achievements.

5.2. Candidate must bring original certificates for date of birth, educational qualifications and sports related certificates on the day of the trial, without which candidate will not be considered for selection.

5.3 Candidate should bring their own sports kit at the time of trials and 2 passport size photographs. Candidate may have to stay for 2-3 days during trials for which he/she has to make his/her own arrangements.

The railway administration has the right to determine a valid date, postpone trial/interview, change the place or cancel the trial due to unforeseen reasons and this shall not be challengeable.

6. West Central Railway Recruitment 2009 Application Procedure:

6.1. Sport persons, who fulfill the above conditions, may send their applications on plain paper of A-4 in the given format enclosing self-attested copies of their educational qualification; proof of age, sports achievement certificates etc. affixing a passport size photograph in the space provided with signature in the Sox below the photograph and similar 2 passport size photographs duly signed on reverse should be clipped along with the application form.

IPO/DD of prescribed processing fee, and 02 self addressed envelop with Rs.5/- postal stamp should also be enclosed with the application.

6.2. Application should be sent to the following address by ordinary post in a closed envelope or may be dropped in the drop box provided for the purpose in the Railway Recruitment Cell Office at the above address up to 18.00 Hours. No acknowledgement will be given for Applications sent by Courier/By Registered Post.

The last date of receipt of application is 21.12.2009. No application will be accepted after the closing date for whatever reasons and any enclosure received separately after the receipt of application will not be entertained.

6.3. The envelope must be super-scribed as follows.

1. Recruitment of sports persons for 2009-10 in West Central Railway

6.4. An individual should apply for only one game. The name of game applied for should be written on the envelope as indicated in Para, 6.3 above, and also on the application. Application for more than one games, are liable to be rejected.

6.5. Administration will not be responsible for the applications which are received late or in torn condition. Incomplete applications will not be entertained.

7. WCR Railway Recruitment 2009 Processing Fee:

The processing fee for recruitment against Sports Quota (Open advertisement) will be Rs. 40/-Date of issuing of IPO/Bank Draft should not be before the date of issue of this Employment Notice.

SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee. Postal Order/Bank Draft should be in the name of FA&CAO, West Central Railway, Jabalpur payable at Jabalpur

8. WC Railway Last date of receipt of applications: 21.12.2009 up to 18.00 hrs.

9. General conditions: Those already in government, service must apply through the proper channel.

10. Mere fulfilling of norms is not a guarantee for appointment, which shall depend upon the requirement of WCR in respective sports discipline.
