South Western Railway Recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota in Group "C" Categories in South Western Railway Headquarters

South Western Railway Head Quarters invites application in the prescribed format from eligible candidates for 02 (UR) Group "C" posts to be recruited in Pay Band-1; Rs.5,200-20,200 on Grade pay Rs.1,900/- against Scouts and Guides Quota for the 3-10.

The applicant has to fulfill the following conditions:

1. SW Railway Age Limit: 18-30 Years as on 01-01-2010

Extent of Age Relaxation: Serving Railway employees who have put in a minimum of 03 years of service will be given relaxation of age to the extent of service rendered, subject to the age limit not exceeding 40 years.

2. SWR Recruitment Essential Qualifications:

1. Educational Qualifications: oulation or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. (The condition of 50% marks in aggregate is not cable for candidates having qualification higher than Matriculation or its equivalent) Persons if appointed to the Category of Junior Clerk-cum-Typist should acquire Typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within a period of Two years from the date of appointment and till such time their appointments to this category will be provisional.
2. Scouts and Guides Qualifications:
1. A Presidents Scouts / Guides / Rovers / Rangers (OR) Himalayan Wood Badge Holder (OR) A Pre HWB Trained Scout Leader / Advanced Trained Guide / Leader/ Captain.
2. Should have been an active member of Scouts Organization for at least 3 years in the recent past and should continue to be active.
3. Should have attended at least one event at National level and one or two events at State level (OR) should have a good record of participation in Scouts / Guides activities at Unit / District level.

3. South Western Railway Application Format:

Application as per the format given below shall be submitted on A-4 size good quality paper. The application format should be in English / Hindi language only and the application should be filled in English / Hindi language only.

The Applications submitted in other than English/ Hindi languages will be summarily rejected. The application should be filled in by the candidate in his / her own handwriting and signed.

The candidate has to affix one recent passport size photograph (recently taken and in scout uniform) duly attested by a Gazetted Officer on the application in the space provided for the purpose.

Candidate is also required to attach one extra passport size photograph along with the application.

4. South Western Railway Recruitment 2009 - Examination Fees

The candidates have to send a crossed Indian postal order / Bank Demand draft for Rs.40/- drawn in favour of FA & CAO, South Western Railway, Hubll and payable at Hubll.

The candidates belonging to SC/ST community are exempted from payement of examination fees.

SWR Recruitment Process:

The recruitment will be based on written test and interview. The candidates, whose applications are found eligible in all respects, will be assessed on the following basis.

The eligible candidates will be called for written test and those who qualify in written test will be called for viva-voce.
