SCR Railway Recruitment against Cultural Quota.
South Central Railway receipt of Closing Date and Time: 03-03-2010 17:00 hrs.
(For residents of Andaman, Nicobar & Lakshdweep islands Closing Date: 18-03-2010).
SCR Applications in the prescribed format are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for recruitment to the following posts on South Central Railway against Cultural Quota.

7. South Central Railway Application Form:
Candidates should carefully read all the instructions given in the employment notification before filling the South Central Railway application form.
SCR Application form shall be submitted on good quality white plain A4 size paper.
The South Central Railway application should be filled in with capital letters either in English or Hindi only.
The SCR application form should be filled by the applicant in his own handwriting using a blue. or black ball point pen only.
Serving Government employees should send their South Central Railway applications through proper channel duly forwarded by their controlling official. The last date will not be extended On account of delay in transmission of the SCR application form by the concerned office. However an advance copy of the South Central Railway application can also be submitted.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST community shall submit their attested xerox copies of community certificates as issued by the appropriate State Government authorities.
8. Submission of SCR Railway Application Form 2010:
The filled in SCR application form along with its enclosures should be sent by ordinary post only in a cover send to the following South Central Railway address.

On the envelope it should be clearly written in bold capital letters "SCR Application form for Recruitment in Group C Post Against Cultural Quota".
The applications shall reach this office on or before closing date. South Central Railway Applications received after closing date will not be entertained. South Central Railway will not be responsible for any postal delay or wrong deliveries.
9. South Central Railway Application Form Fee: Rs. 40/-
Mode of payment: To be paid in the form of crossed demand draft (DD) on scheduled banks or through a crossed Indian postal order (IPO) (purchased on or after the date of publication of the employment notification) drawn in favour of the Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer, South Central Railway, payable at Secunderabad.
The candidate should write the following details in the space provided for sender's name in the case of postal order and on the reverse in the case of Demand Draft: Employment notice number, name of the post applied for, Name of the candidate and address.
Candidates belonging to SC / ST communities, ex Servicemen and Physically challenged are fully exempted from payment of examination fees.
10. South Central Railway 2010 Age Limit: 18 to 30 years
Age for all categories will be reckoned as on 01-01-2010.
No upper age relaxation is provided since the recruitment is done against cultural quota and no post is reserved for any particular community.
11. South Central Railway Examination Centre: The written and other tests will be conducted in Secunderabad / Hyderabad.
12. Mode of Selection & Recruitment Process for SCR 2010:
After scrutiny of the South Central Railway applications, eligible candidates will be issued call letters to attend for a written examination. The written examination will be of objective type. All the candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks of 40% will be called to give, practical demonstration test.
The final empanelment to the tune of the notified South Central Railway vacancies will be based on the Final Merit Order prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate in written, practical test and the marks assigned to the testimonials / prizes etc.
13. General conditions of South Central Railway Secunderabad Recruitment:
Merely satisfying the age and educational qualifications itself will not constitute a right to be called for the written examination unless the candidate fulfills all other conditions laid down in this employment notification.
Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfils all the eligibility norms. The candidates should possess the requisite qualification for the post applied for at the time of the applying itself. Candidates acquiring the qualifications after the date of SCR application form shall not be eligible.
Candidates attempting to give false information / suppressing tacts will be disqualified and are liable for debarment and for legal action. Candidates who attempt fraud / impersonation are liable to be debarred for life from appearing in any examination conducted by this Railway.
Candidates recommended for appointment will have to pass the prescribed medical examination conducted by the Railway administration before appointment.
Mere selection of candidates and recommendation for their appointment shall not confer any prescriptive right on the candidates for their appointment in Railways.
Free sleeper class pass from the nearest Railway Station indicated in the SCR application form will be issued to the candidates belonging to SC and ST communities whenever they are called for any stage of recruitment.
In the event of appointment as office clerk candidates will be required to acquire typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi within a period of 2 years from the date of appointment and till such time appointment will be provisional.
14. List of Enclosures:
A valid Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order for Rs.40/-.
Attested copy of educational certificates.
Attested copy of Cultural Qualifications.
Attested copy of Community certificate (by the candidates belonging to SC / ST candidates).
Attested copy of 10th class certificate as proof of Date of Birth.
15. Invalid South Central Railway Applications:
SCR Applications not in the prescribed format, incompletely filled or filled / submitted in contravention of the above mentioned instructions will be summarily rejected.
16. Appeal:
Recruitment Process is based purely on merit and performance of the candidate. Candidates are cautioned against any false claims made by any unscrupulous persons / agencies of getting them selected on illegal considerations.
