Recruitment for the post of Constables (Male & Female)

Applications are invited from eligible Male/Female candidates for filling up the posts of Constable in Pay Band of Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- in Railway Protection Force/ Railway Protection Special Force as per instructions contained in the following paragraphs:-

These vacancies are meant for Group 4 Zones of RPF/RPSF (SC Railway)
Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease or even become nil depending upon the requirement of the Railway Administration. The administration also reserves the right to cancel the recruitment as well as the notified vacancies at its discretion and such decision will be binding on all concerned. In the event of cancellation of notified vacancies, the examination fee will not be refunded.
Reservation for ex-servicemen will be 10% of the vacancies. Further category-wise breakup of vacancies (SC/ST/OBC) reserved for Ex.Servicemen shall not be done. In case suitable Ex-Servicemen are not available, the vacancies may be filled up by the male candidates of UR category.
Post of Constable has not been identified as suitable for persons with disabilities and hence the same has been exempted from the purview of section 33 and 47 of the persons with Disabilities (Equal opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) act, 1995 by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in India in Railway Protection Force or Railway Protection Special Force.
2. SC Railway Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- with usual allowances as per Central Government Employees.
3. SCR Recruitment 2009 Eligibility :-
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
Education: Must have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination from a recognized Board on the closing date of submission of application form. Educational certificates of other than State Board/Central Board should be submitted along with Government of India notification declaring that such qualifications are equivalent to matriculation/10"1 for service under Central Government.
Age: The candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 25 years as on 01.01.2010. The Candidates must not be born before 01.01.1985 and must not be born after 01.01 1992. Age mentioned in the Matriculation/High School Examination certificate or an equivalent certificate as on the date of submission of application will only be accepted.
Relaxation in Age:
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 05 years will be admissible to SC/ST and upto 03 years to OBC candidates.
Upper age upto 05 years is also relaxable for those persons who had ordinarily, been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of J&K during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989. The persons claiming relaxation under this category must produce a certificate to this effect from the District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designated on his behalf by the Government of J&K.
Relaxation in upper age limit to the extent of defence service plus 03 years is applicable to Ex-servicemen provided break in service and re-employment should not exceed 02 years and they must have put in at least 06 months after attestation.
