Recruitment against Scouts & Guides Quota in South East Central Railway for the year 2009-10.

South East Central Railway, Bilaspur invites application from the eligible and meritorious Scouts & Guides candidates in the prescribed format (attached herewith) for filling up the 02(Two) posts in Group "C" categories (UR) against Scouts & Guides quota over South East Central Railway.

Scale of pay: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1900/-(RSRP) / Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-(RSRP).

Educational Qualifications & Age for South East Central Railway Board:

1. Minimum Matriculation or equivalent with 50% in aggregate or higher qualification.
2. Age limit: 18 to 30 years as on 01-01-2010. (There is no age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

Scouting/Guiding qualifications:

1. A President/Rashtrapati's Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger Or Himalayan Wood Badge holder Or A Pre-HWB trained Scout leader/advanced trained Guide leader/Captain.
2. Should have been active member of Scout Organization at least three years in the recent past and continue to be active.
3. Should have attended at least one event at National Level and/or two events at State Level or should have good record of participation in Scouts/Guides activities at Unit/District Level.

Selection Procedure for South East Central Railway Board:

Performance of candidates who apply in response to this notification and are found eligible for consideration for appointment against Scouts & Guides quota should be assessed on the following basis:

Note: The written examination will consist of objective type questions to be answered in 1 hour relating to Scouts & Guides.

1. Only those candidates who secure 60% & above marks in written examination will be called forViva-voce. Date of written examination will be announced later.
2. Before posting against any working post the candidate should pass the medical examination prescribed for the post.
3. Call letters will be sent to eligible candidates for written Examination. List of eligible candidates and updates will be displayed in the SECR website www.secr.gov.in.

The decision of South East Central Railway, Bilaspur Recruitment Cell in connection with selection will be final. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates who are not selected. The South East Central Railway, Bilaspur Administration will not be responsible for any postal delay or wrong delivery.

The application which suffer from material irregularities such as unsigned, incomplete, illegible, without all enclosures, without examination fee of Rs. 40/- (which is non-refundable in any case), not on prescribed format, without attested copies of certificates/testimonials and the application which in the opinion of Railway Administration are otherwise invalid, will be rejected. Application received after 18.00 hrs. of 23.11.2009 will not be entertained.

1. The application should be filled in own hand writing and one passport size photo should be pasted in the specified space on the application form, duly signed on the top by the candidate and attested by the Gazetted Officer.
2. Two passport size photographs (same as fixed in the application form) duly signed on the top) should be clipped along with the application form.
3. All the copies of certificates in support of age, caste, educational qualification, scouting qualification, other qualification should be attested by a Gazetted Officer and should be enclosed along with the application form.
4. Copies of participation certificates should be countersigned by DC/S&G and membership certificate for the last three years in the recent past and continuation certificate as active member should be signed by the State/District Commissioner (Scouts) for scouts wing and State/District Commissioner (Guides) for guides wing and should be enclosed along with the application form.
5. For UR & OBC candidates, applications should accompany with Bank Draft or IPO amounting to Rs.40/- (Rupees Forty only) drawn in favour of FA&CAO/South East Central Railway payable at Bilaspur as examination fees. Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities are exempted for paying the fees.
6. Two self addressed envelopes (size 23 cms. x 10 cms.) should be attached with the application. For the candidates belonging to SC/ST community one of the envelope should be without stamp and one envelope postage stamp valued Rs.5/- to be affixed. In case of serving employees should submit their applications through proper channel as per extant rules.
7. More than one application in one envelope will be summarily rejected.

Applications should be addressed and sent by Ordinary post/Registered/Speed Post to the following address or should be dropped in the box provided at the South East Central Railway Recruitment Cell/HQ/Bilaspur before closing date (upto 18:00 hours of 23.11.2009).
