Recruitment Against Sports Quota (Group 'C') for the Year 2009 - 2010

Applications are invited for appointment of sports persons in Group 'C' against NF Railway's Sports Quota for the year 2009-2010 through open advertisement against the Sports discipline shown as under:-

1. Category of post - Group C in

1. Pay Band 1 Rs.5200 - Rs.20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.1900
2. Pay Band 1 Rs.5200 - Rs.20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2000
3. Pay Band 1 Rs.5200 - Rs.20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2400
4. Pay Band 1 Rs.5200 - Rs.20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2800 (Depending on educational qualification and sports performance)

2. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

3. NF Railway Recruitment Minimum Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent. For appointment in Pay Band 1 Rs. 5200- Rs.20200/- with Grade Pay of Rs.2400 & Rs.2800, minimum education qualification of Graduate / equivalent is required.

4. Age Limit for NF Railway Recruitment

1. Age:- Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years old as on 01.01.2010. No relaxation in lower or upper age limit will be permissible in this recruitment.
2. Proof of Age:
1. Matric certificate issued by Board or equivalent or
2. School leaving certificate.

5. Sports Performance Criteria.

1. The candidate should have represented the Country in Olympic Games/ World Cup / World Championships/ Asian Games / Common Wealth Games. or
2. Represented State or equivalent Unit, in Junior/Senior National Championship and obtained at least 3 position. or
3. Represented a University in All India Inter-University Championship, organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities and obtained at least 3 positions in individual event or 2 positions in team event.or
4. Represented State or equivalent Unit in the Federation Cup Championship (Senior category) and obtained 1 position.

Note

All the championships mentioned above shall be conducted under the aegis of recognized International/National/States Sports Federation and also recognized by RSPB.

For norms mentioned under Para 5 (ii), only Senior National and Junior National Championships shall be taken into consideration. National Games, Rural Meets, Festival Meets and other similar tournament will not be considered.

6. NF Railway Selection Procedure for short-listed eligible candidates would involve

1. Trial of Sports performance.
2. Interview and assessment of sports achievement, educational qualification etc.
3. Only Those Candidates who Perform Better than the Existing Railway Sports Persons in their Respective Events will be Considered for Appointment and only if they fit in Nfrsa Team.
4. For Weight Lifting discipline, the desirable performance to be part of NFRSA team is as under:-

7. Period for Reckoning Sports Achievement.

For recruitment against Sports quota, the sports achievements shall be in the immediate previous 2 (two) years and sports persons shall be an active player. Sports achievements on or after 01.04.2007 shall only be considered.

8. Certificate/Documents Required: Copies of certificates regarding Sports performance, Educational Qualification, Date of birth, Caste etc. should be sent duly attested by the Gazetted Officer along with the character certificate from the Institution last attended.

9. No TA / DA or other allowance will be paid to the candidate appearing in the Selection Trial / Interview. However, Free 2nd Class Railway Pass will be issued to SC/ST candidates only for attending the Trial / Interview.
