NF Railway Guwahati Recruitment 2010

Northeast Frontier Railway applications are invited from the eligible candidates in order to fill up 2 (two) Group 'C' posts against Scouts & Guides quota for the year 2010 - 2011 for HQ BS & G Unit.

Closing Date for Receipt of NF Railway Application Form 2010 : 10 / 08 / 2010.

Candidates having no Scout / Guide qualification as prescribed below, need not apply.

1. Details of post and requirements :

1. Post : Group 'C', Payband Rs. 5200-20200/- + Grade Pay - 1900/- Rs. & Rs. 5200-20,200/- + Grade Pay - 2000/- Rs. (Depending upon eligibility & Suitability of the candidates and requirements of the post).
2. No. of posts : 02 (two).
3. The selection for Group 'C' posts will be conducted in HQ Office, Maligaon, Guwahati only.

2. Eligibility Northeast Frontier Railway Recruitment 2010 :

1. Minimum educational qualification for NF Railway Jobs : Matriculation pass or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. Minimum percentage of 50% marks in aggregate is not applicable to SC / ST candidate and to those candidates (irrespective of community) who possess qualification higher than matriculation such as HSC / lntermediate / Graduation / Post Graduation etc.
2. Besides the educational qualification, the following qualifications are essential for recruitment against Scouts & Guide quota for Group 'C' post.

1. A Presidents Scout / Guide/ Ranger / Rover (or) Himalayan Wood Badge Holder (or) A Pre-HWB trained Scout Leader / Advanced Trained Guide / Leader / Captain.
2. Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for at least 3 (three) years in the recent past and should continue to be active.
3. Should have attended at least one event at National and one or two events at State Level. (or) Should have a good record of participation in Scouts / Guides activities at Unit / District level.

2. NF Railway 2010 Age Limit : As on 1/1/2011 : 18 to 30 yrs for general candidates.

Relaxation of NF Railway age limit 2010 : 5 years for SC / ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

3. Conditions and procedure for Northeast Frontier Railway 2010 :

1. Necessary testimonials concerning the Scouts and Guides activities up to the date of NF Railway application form duly attested by a Gazetted Officer to be enclosed alongwith the NF Railway application form.

All copies of certificates in regard to age qualification, etc duly attested by Gazetted Officers should be enclosed alongwith the NF Railway application form.

2. Two self address envelops (Size 24 cm x 10 cm) with Rs. 6/- postage stamps to be fixed on each envelop and sent alongwith the NF Railway application form.
3. One colour passport size recent photograph with proper uniform duly signed on the front side top should be pasted on the space provided in the NF Railway application form and two colour passport size recent photographs also signed on the top of the front side should be clipped alongwith the NF Railway application form.
4. There is no provision of community wise reservation against Scouts and Guides quota recruitment.
5. Those candidates belonging to SC / ST and OBC should enclosed necessary certificates for upper age relaxation and for future reservation benefit subject to their appointment in the Railway.

OBC candidates should submit certificate that they do not belong to the creamy layer.

6. Northeast Frontier Railway Applications are to be made only in the specific form as given below.
7. ln case the candidates are found suitable for the post and appointed in the Railway, they have to undergo training for a specific period for the particular post in which they will be offered appointment, provided training is necessary for the particular post.

They are required to execute a Bond to participate in Scout & Guides activities.

4. Payment of NF Railway Examination Fee : All Northeast Frontier Railway applications should be accompanied by crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) of Rs. 40/- (Rupees Forty only) towards examination fee. SC / ST candidates are exempted from paying examination fees.

The IPO should be drawn in favour of "FA & CAO / N.F Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati" payable at "Post Office Maligaon".

Candidates must write their names, full address at the space provided in the postal order. The examination fee is not refundable under any circumstance.

5. Procedure for NF Railway Recruitment : Candidates who apply in response to this notification issued and found eligible for consideration for appointment against Scouts and Guides quota in Group 'C' category shall be assessed on the following basis :

Written Test : Candidates, will have to appear in a Written test on a particular date followed by Personality Test / Interview. The written test will consist of 50 marks. 35 Marks is allotted for Scouts & Guide qualification & 15 marks for personality test / interview.

That is, total marks is 100. Questions in the written test will be Objective type, relating to Scouts & Guides organization and its activities as per syllabus outlined below :

Syllabus for NF Railway Exam 2010 : History of Scouting / Guiding, Law & Promise, Organization - "District & State Level", Training Centre - District & State Level; Knowledge of Books; Scouting for Boys / Guiding for Girls in India; Motto Left Hand Shake; Salute; Prayer, Flag Song; National anthem Know the National & Scouting Flags; Social services at various occasions.

Hiking; Proficiency Badges, How these are earned? Stages in Scouting / Guiding, Thinking Day, Progressive Training of Scouts / Guides / Rovers / Rangers; Pioneering, Handicraft; Indian Railway Jamboree; National Jamboree; Jamboree on the Air.

Organization at National Level; National Training Centre; WAGGGS / WOSM - Uparashtrapati Award Competition; Prime Minister Shield Competition, Community Development Programmer, Aims, and Method of Scouting; How Scouting is useful in producing better Citizens.

1. The decision of the N F. Railway administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of Northeast Frontier Railway applications etc,, will be final and binding on the candidates.
2. The administration does not undertake responsibility for sending reply to the candidates not selected or not called for interview.

The NF Railway application form is liable to be rejected, if any of the compulsory enclosures is not attached as indicated in the proforma or any column left blank.

If there is nothing to write against any column it should bo filled as "NIL". The medium for the written examination is either Hindi or English.

6. Medical Examination for NF Railway 2010 : candidates will be subject to medical examination by Railway Medical Authority prior to their appointment if finally selected.
