Recruitment in Group "C" Posts Against Sports Quota 2009 - 10.

Applications are invited from talented and outstanding sportspersons in the prescribed format, for recruitment in Group - "C" posts against sports quota, on North Central Railway in the following games:

If you fulfill the criteria given below for the various games, please apply immediately.

Zonal Railway Quota

Minimum Norms for Sports Achievements for Group-C Posts Grade Rs.5200-20200 (PB-1) + 1900 GP.

The applicant sportsperson should have:

1. Represented the country in the International Championship in Olympic Games, World Cup, World Championships, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, for Cricket (Men) Test Match or One day Match, Or
2. Represented country in the International Championship in Commonwealth Championships & Asian Championships and obtained at least 3rd position, Or
3. Represented a State or equivalent Unit, in Junior/Senior National Championship and obtained at least 3rd position, Or
4. Represented a University in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities and obtained at least 3rd position in individual event or 2nd position in team event, Or
5. Represented a State or equivalent Unit, in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category) and obtained 1st position.

Note:

1. For norms mentioned under applicant sportsperson (3) only Sr. National and Jr. National Championship shall be taken into consideration. National Games, Rural Meets, Festival Meets and other similar tournaments shall not be considered.
2. In Cricket (Men) at International level in Senior Category, representation of main Indian Team in a Test Match or in Limited Over One day International Match shall also be considered.
3. In Badminton, sportsperson with current All India Ranking up to 16 in Seniors and up to 8 in Juniors shall also be eligible. Only the current Annual ranking shall be considered for this purpose.
4. Represented a State or equivalent Unit, in following Cricket Trophy/Championships and obtained at least: Semi-finalist in Ranji Elite Group, Semi-finalist in All India Knock - Out stage One Day Ranji, Finalist in All India Inter / Zonal Dileep & Prof. D.B.Deodhar. Semi - finalist in Inter State All India Knock - Out stage Col.C.K. Naydu (U-22) Semi-finalist in One day Inter Zonal Elite Group Coach Behar Elite Group (U-19), Semi-finalist in One day Inter State All India Knock-Out stage Vinoo Mankad (U-19), Finalist in One day Inter Zonal Vijay Hajare (U-19).

Minimum Norms for Educational Qualification & Prescribed fee:

Educational Qualification: Minimum 10th Pass or equivalent, Genl / OBC: Rs.40/-, SC/ST: Nil.

Age limit: 18 to 25 years as on 01.01.2010.

Other Norms:

1. The applicant should be a citizen of India.
2. The applicant should be an active sportsperson and the Sports achievement mentioned in Minimum Norms above against which he claims his/her candidature should pertain to a period from 1st April 2007 onwards.

Selection Procedure:

The selection will be based on the Sports Achievements, Educational Qualification, performance during trial and General Intelligence. For trial the eligible candidates shall be given call letter based on the eligibility criteria mentioned above as Minimum Norms.

Mere calling a sportsperson for trial and/or interview will not guarantee his/her selection. An application/candidate may be rejected at any stage after found false and railways take no responsibility to communicate the reasons whatsoever.

How to Apply:

1. The candidates fulfilling all the norms should apply in the application format given herein below, on A-4 size plain paper along with two-passport size self signed colour photographs (one duly pasted on the application form and the other attached to the application form). Application form can also be downloaded from our website: www.ncr.railnet.gov.in.
2. The application form should be filled in all respect by the candidate in his own handwriting and send on the following address along with prescribed fee or application may also be dropped in the box kept in the CPO office, Block "B" Headquarters Office, Subedarganj, Allahabad on any working day (Mon to Fri) between 10.00 firs to 16.00 hrs.

3. The envelope should be super scribed "NCR Sports/Rectt/2009-10" and Name of Game for which applied for should also be mentioned in bracket on the envelope.
4. Copies of certificates for date of birth, educational qualifications and sports achievements as well as other documents should be enclosed with application form duly attested by Gazetted Officer.
5. Applications, which are incomplete or not in the prescribed format, shall be summarily rejected. Applications received without prescribed application fee in the form of Indian Postal Order in favour of FA & CAO, NCR, Allahabad payable at Allahabad to which the candidates desire to apply, shall also be summarily rejected.

The last date for receipt of application is 12.10.2009 upto 16.00 hrs. Railway will not be responsible for any postal delay.

The candidates working in Government or Semi Government organization will apply through proper channel.
