IRCTC Recruitment 2009 - Apprentices Training Scheme

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC), a mini ratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has introduced Government of India's NCTVT Apprentice Training Scheme in its Catering Units including the mobile units i.e. trains.

Applications are invited for apprentice training in its catering and mobile units on all India basis in the following trades:

IRCTC Limited Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC. For PH candidates 10 years age relaxation as per government norms will be applicable.

IRCTC Recruitment Minimum Qualification: Passed Matriculation or its equivalent or 10th passed, under 10+2 system of education from recognized Board.

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/PH and other categories will be as per Government policy.

The requisite theory training inputs and the practical training inputs shall be imparted to the selected candidates under the NCTVT Apprentice Training Scheme by IRCTC in its various Catering Units/Trains and other locations.

Selection of apprentices will be through a objective type multiple choice written examination, which will be followed by interview for the short listed candidates.

The written test will be conducted at Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai and interview will be held at New Delhi. Selected candidates shall be paid stipend as per Apprenticeship scheme.
