CR Railway Recruitment against Cultural Quota on Central Railway for the Year 2009-2010.
CR Railway Closing Date & Time: 03.02.2010 at 17.30 hrs.
Central Railway Applications are invited for filling up 02 (two) posts in Group 'C' category in the Pay Band Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1900 or Grade Pay Rs. 2000 against Cultural Quota for the year 2009-10 on Central Railway, in the following Discipline / Skills:
- Octo Pad / Drum Set Player
- Key Board Player
Candidates from above Discipline / Skills and also fulfilling the following conditions may submit their Central Railway applications.
1. Eligibility Conditions for Central Railway Jobs 2010:
A. Minimum Educational Qualification for Central Railway Recruitment 2010:
Matriculation pass (or) its equivalent.
Possessing Degree / Diploma / Certificate in the respective discipline from Government, recognized institutes.
Criteria required for Artist.
Octo Pad / Drum Set Player & Key Board Player.
Certificate from Trinity College of London / Music School / Music College. (or)
Five Years experience in playing the instrument preferably in Doordarshan / AJR or with any reputed Musical group with necessary Certificate (Documentary Proof).
Should be proficient in playing Hindi Songs (Filmy / Classical / Semi Classical) with necessary Certificate from reputed Musical Group.
Reputed Musical group is a group which has performed at various platform with Artists of National Caliber (or) A group consisting of Artists, who have either performed in AIR, Television & Film Industry. However, Railway reserves the right to reject any CR application form.
B. Desirable:
Experience in the field and performance given on AIR / Doordarshan etc.,
Prize won at National level in above fields.
2. Central Railway Group C Recruitment 2010 Age limit: Age as on 30/11/2009 should be as under:
General Community: 18 to 30 years.
SC / ST Community: 18 to 35 years.
OBC Community: 18 to 33 years Serving Railway Employees.
Up to the extent of service rendered provided they have put in minimum 3 years continuous service subject to maximum of 45 years of age for SC / ST, 43 years for OBC & 40 years for others, for serving group 'C & D' Railway employees and Railway Casual Labours / Substitutes.
Maximum upper age relaxation will not exceed 5 years for the staff working in Railway canteens, Co-operative societies and Institutes with minimum 3 years service therein.
Widows / Divorced (or) judicially separated women: Up to the age of 35 years for GL, 40 years for SC / ST & 38 years for OBC.
J & K person who had ordinary domiciled in Kashmir division of the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January 1980 to 31st December 1989: 5 years.
The CR application form should be filled by the candidate in his / her own handwriting and should be legible and should be either in English or Hindi only on one side of the paper, duly dated and signed by the candidate.
One copy of latest passport size photograph without cap / sun glass / wigs should be affixed on the CR application form on the space provided in the CR application form and should be signed in the box below it and two spare photographs should be enclosed.
Along with Central Railway application, attested copies of Educational Qualification, certificates in cultural field, certificate indicating date of birth, Caste certificate issued by the proper authority in case of SC / ST / OBC and achievements in cultural field should be enclosed, It may be noted that Central Railway application without the attested copies of the certificates will be summarily rejected.
3. Application Fee for Central Railway Group C Post: (Non refundable)
For General and OBC candidates only: Postal Order of Rs. 40/- only (Including postal charges) Payable at GPO, Mumbai.

The candidate who is working in any Government or Public Sector undertaking including Railways should send the CR application form through proper channel of the concerned departments.
The candidates should submit the CR application form well in advance so that after being forwarded by the department, it will be received in this office well in time before the closing date. No advance copy of the CR application form will be entertained.
Candidates should send their Central Railway applications complete in all respect alongwith the enclosures by ordinary post only. On the envelop containing the CR application form it should be written. "Central Railway Application for Group "C" against Cultural Quota - 2009-10."

Central Railway Application found incomplete in any way will be rejected and no further correspondence in this regard will be entertained. No separate communication will be sent to the candidate in this regard.
The last date of receipt of CR application form is 03.02.2010. Last date of submission of CR application form for candidates residing abroad and in Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands will be 05.02.2010 (17.30 hrs.). Central Railway Applications received after closing date and time will not be entertained.
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions will be subjected to a written examination consisting of objective type questions and assessment of talent in the relevant field on the basis or practical demonstration.
The candidates selected are liable to be posted on any Division / Workshop / Units on Central Railway. No request for change of the Division / Workshop / Units allotted will be entertained.
In case of selected candidates appointed in clerical category, the candidates will have to possess the proficiency in Typing with minimum speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in.Hindi, within a period of 02 years from date of appointment.
