RRB Thiruvananthapuram Recruitment for Receipt of Closing Date and Time: 02.03.2010 Upto 17.30 hrs.
RRB Applications are invited in the prescribed format as enclosed (on a good quality A-4 size paper (80 GSM using one side only) from eligible Indian Nationals for the Post of Assistant Loco Pilot.
RRB Applications complete in all respects along with required enclosures should be sent by post to the Member Secretary / Secretary / Assistant Secretary of the concerned Railway Recruitment Board as mentioned in para 15 of General Instructions so as to reach on or before 02-03-2010 (17.30 hrs).
The Railway Recruitment Board applications can also be dropped in the box kept at the premises of concerned RRB offices, till the closing date.
For candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshwadeep islands and for candidates residing abroad, the closing date for receipt of RRB applications by posts will be 17-03-2010.
Candidates Please Note:
Written Examination will be held on same day by all participating RRBs.
Participating RRBs have given choice of regional languages, Candidates have the option of choosing any one of the regional laguages at the time of applying.
No examination fee for Women Candidates / Minority Candidates / Economically Backward class candidates having annual family income less than Rs. 50,000/-.
The eligible candidates who have already applied in earlier notifications but examination not held need not apply again to the same RRB. Ineligible candidates whose application has been rejected may apply afresh.

Important Note: The eligible candidates who have already applied against the earlier notifications of respective RRBs will be considered eligible for Centeralised Examination & they need not apply again. In case, any such candidate who had already applied against earlier notification wants to apply to some other RRB, He/She can do so against this new Centeralised Notification. In this case, He / She would have applied for two or more RRBs. but he/she will be doing so on his / her own risk, because he/she can attend examination only at one centre since the examinations will be held on the same day by all RRBs. |

Minimum Educational Qualification for Railway Recruitment Board Recruitment 2010: Matriculation or its equivalent under 10 +2 system and Course Completed Act. Apprentice OR I.T.I. in any of the following specific trades recognised by SCVT / NCVT:

- Mill Wright / Maintenance Mechanic
- Mechanic Radio & T.V.
- Electronics Mechanic
- Mechanic Motor Vehicle

Refrigeration & A.C. Mechanic or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering recognised by AICTE in lieu of I.T.I.
Note: Candidates having higher Educational qualification in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics/Automobile Engineering recognised by AICTE are also eligible.
