Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Recruitment 2009 Educational Qualification

1) For the post of lecturer in Sociology, Geography, Economics, History, Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture, Mathematics, English, Commerce and Sanskrit

1. A postgraduate degree in the respective subject of an University established by law in India and
2. L.T. Diploma of a government recognized training college / college or graduate degree in education (B.Ed.) from an University established by law.

2) For the post of lecturer in Political Science

1. A postgraduate degree in Political Science of an University established by law in India and
2. L.T. Diploma of a government recognized training college / college or graduate degree in education (B.Ed.) from an University established by law.

3) For the post of lecturer in Biology

1. A postgraduate degree in Botany or Zoology of an University established by law in India and
2. L.T. Diploma of a government recognized training college i college or graduate degree in education (B.Ed.) from an University established bylaw.

4) For the post of lecturer in Education

1. A postgraduate degree in Education of an University established by law in India and
2. L.I". Diploma of a government recognized training college / college or graduate degree in education (B.Ld.) from an University established by law.or A degree of Master of Education (M.Ed.) of a university established by law in India.

5) For the post of lecturer in Hindi

1. A postgraduate degree in Hindi of an University established by law in India,
2. A bachelor degree in Arts with Sanskrit or a certificate of Shastri Examination of Sanskrit University, Varanasi and
3. L.T Diploma of a government recognized training college / college or graduate degree in education (B.Ed.) from an University established by law.

6) For the post of lecturer in Home Science

1. A postgraduate degree in Home Arts or Home Science of an University established by law in India and
2. L.T. Diploma of a government recognized training college / college or graduate degree in education (B.Ed.) from an University established by law.

7) For the post of lecturer in Arts

1. A postgraduate degree in Drawing and Painting of an University established by law in India and
2. L.T Diploma of a government recognized training college / college or graduate degree in education (B.Ed.) from an University established by law.

4. Preferential Qualification - A candidate who has -

1. Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
2. Obtained a 'B' certificate of National Cadet Corps, or
3. Obtained a 'C certificate of N.S.S., shall, other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment

Note: Any other educational Qualification different from the prescribed educational qualifications is not acceptable.

Candidates are instructed to fill only one O.M.R. application form for one subject. If a candidate wants to apply for the post of lecturer in more than one subject then he/she has to fill separate application forms for each subject.

Male candidates can apply only for the posts in general cadre and the female candidates may apply for both cadres (female cadre and general cadre). For this purpose female candidates have to fill separate application forms for each cadre.
