Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Applications are invited against following posts from the candidates. Number of posts may increase or decrease.

Medical Department (Civil Engineering) Unit U.P.

U.P. Public Service Commission invite application forms for the selection on the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) under Medical Department, U.P., Deptt. No. Seva-8/01.

Number of UPPSC vacancies: 01, Reservation Reserved for Scheduled Tribe Caste candidates of U.P.

(The candidates of Scheduled Caste category may also apply but they will be only considered if the candidates of S.T. category are not available).

Junior Engineer Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800/-.

Nature of Post: Non gazetted. Temporary. Period of Probation-02 years.

UPPSC 2010 Age Limit: 21 to 35 years, (upper age limit is relaxable for reserved category of U.P. as per rules).

Essential Educational Qualification for UPPSC Exam 2010: A candidate for direct recruitment to the service must posses overseer's certificate from one of the institution mentioned in appendix "A*.

UUPSC 2010 Preferential Qualification: Who has

1. Served in the territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, (or)
2. Obtained 'B' certificate of National Cadet corps shall, other things being equal be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment.

UPPSC Recruitment 2010 Important Instructions: Candidates must attach solid proof with the conventional UPPSC application forms in respect of their essential academic qualification, reservation and age otherwise UPPSC application forms will be rejected. Appendix "A":

1. The overseer's certificate awarded by university of Roorkee.
2. The overseer's certificate awarded by the Thomson college of Engineering, Roorkee to their own students.
3. The overseer's certificate awarded by the Thomson college of engineering, Roorkee to the students of the Civil Engineering School, Lucknow.
4. The overseer's certificate awarded by the Thomson college of Engineering, Roorkee to the student of the Hewett Engineering School, Lucknow.
5. The overseer's certificate awarded by the Muslim University, Aligarh.
6. The overseer's certificate awarded by the college of Engineering, Poona.
7. The Diploma of Civil Engineering awarded by the Orissa School of Engineering, Cuttack.
8. Overseer's certificate of Diploma awarded by the Universities in India incorporated by any Act of the central or state Legislatures.
9. Diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by the Adhoc Board of Engineering Education, Uttar Pradesh.
10. Diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh.
11. National certificate in Civil Engineering awarded by the All India council of Technical Education. Three years Diploma in construction, Technology from any institution recognised by Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh.

Note: Overseers already working in the department in temporary or officiating UPPSC vacancies, who have received their certificates from the Hewett Engineering School, Lucknow or the Civil Engineering School, Lucknow in or after the year 1936 and before, the year from which such certificate began to be awarded by the Thomson College of Engineering, Roorkee will be considered qualified for the recruitment to the service if they are otherwise eligible.
