UPPSC Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Exam 2009 Educational Qualification

Essential:

1. Intermediate Examination from Board of High School and Intermediate Education, U.P. or any examination equivalent to that recognised by the Goverment.
2. Knowledge of Hindi and English shorthand and typing and in both the shorthand the speed must be minimum 80 words per minute.

Preferential: The candidates who have served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years or have obtained NCC ‘B’ certificate shall be given preference.

Age limit: The candidates must be 21 years of age as on 01.07.2008 but not more than 35 years of age i.e. their birth should have not been earlier than 02 nd July, 1973 and not later than 01 July, 1987.

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit - The age limit shall be higher by five years for the candidates of Scheduled Sastes of U.P., Scheduled Tribe of U.P. and other Backward Classes of U.P. and for dependants of freedom fighters.

For Physically Handicapped Candidates of U.P. the age is relaxable upto fifteen years. The age limit for Ex-Army Personnel shall be more by 3 years after including their service period.

According to Rule 10 of the Service Rules candidates who were otherwise eligible on 1st July 2002, 03, 04, 05, 06 and 07 will be treated within age and be given age relaxation.

According to G.O. No. 22 / 21 / 1983 - Karmik-2 dated 28.11.85 the age limit for skilled players of National and International level and domicile of U.P. shall be higher by five years.

The skilled players must attach their certificates issued by Competent Authority with the conventional application form.
