General Instructions for Public Service commission Uttar Pradesh Recruitment :

1. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Applications received after this date will not be entertained in any case. Incomplete UPPSC application form / applications without required information and Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Applications which are not signed by the candidates, even if received within time, will summarily be rejected.

2. Knowledge of Hindi is essential.

3. Date of calculation of age (except where indication is otherwise) is 1st July, 2010. Maximum age limit shall be relaxable by five years for candidates belonging to S.C./ S.T. / O.B.C. and dependents of freedom fighters of U.P.

Relaxation in age upto 3 years will be admissible for disabled / Ex-army personnel in addition to the entire period of their military service, It is essential to be released from army upto the date of last date of receipt of UPPSC application form, for physically handicapped persons (if post reserved), relaxation in age of 15 years will be admissible according to G.O.

4. UPPSC Application Form received and qualifications attained and change in category after the last date will also not be accepted.

5. One self addressed post-card and two envelopes of 23 x 10 cm. both bearing the name of the post, advt. No. and complete address thereon should accompany the UPPSC Application Form. The postage stamps need not be affixed on the envelope.

6. Minimum qualification is not sufficient for being called for interview and mere eligibility does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview or for selection. Information for interview will be sent later on.

7. Marksheets of each year / semester of graduation & post graduation must be enclosed by the candidates.

8. In case of large number of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Applications for any post / posts, the Commission may hold screening test which will be communicated in due course.

9. Original certificates are required for verification at the time of interview. Candidates will then also be required to furnish copies of passport size photographs attested by their head of department or head of institution where they received education or by a gazetted officer.

10. Candidates serving under central or state government will have to produce "No Objection Certificate" from their employer at the time of interview.

11. The decision of the Commission as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate will be final.

12. The Commission do not advise candidates about their eligibility, They should, therefore, read the advertisement carefully and apply only when are satisfied that they are qualified in terms of advertisement.

13. Only sons / daughters and grandsons and unmarried granddaughters of freedom fighters fall in the category of their dependents. Mere relationship with the freedom fighter is not sufficient. Such candidates must also be dependent on the freedom fighter.

Attention of candidates is drawn to G.O. No. 6/1972/Karmik-2-dated 15.1.1983 read with G.O. of even No. dated 22.1.82, 8.3.83 and G.O. No. 3014/ Karmik-2, 1982 dated 18.10.1982.

The candidates of this category are required to obtain and submit certificate relating to reservation from District Magistrate on the prescribed format as per GO. No. 4/3/82-Ka-2/1997, dated 26.12.97.

14. The Commission reserves the right of cancelling the candidature of any candidate found indulging in any malpractice i.e. hiding any material information, misrepresentation of facts or canvassing for candidature.

15. Any change in the address must be communicated promptly to the commission. All communication to the commission must mention the name of the post applied for, advertisement No, Department No. and date of birth of the candidate.

16. In the Condition of :

1. There being more than one UPPSC Application Forms of Posts / Candidates even if they are of the same advertisement. (and)
2. Being UPPSC Application Forms of more than one advertisement in one envelope. All Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Applications will be cancelled.

16. In this advertisement UPPSC OMR Application Form system is applicable the candidates may obtain UPPSC OMR application forms on cost payment from the Head Post Office of the Districts or from the Post Offices, mentioned below from 12 June, 2010.

The cost of the UPPSC OMR application forms has been fixed as Rs.140/- for Series Dirgen (General candidates, OBC candidates of U.P. and all candidates of other states) and Rs.100/- for Series Dirres (SC of U.P. ST of U.P.).

The candidates under horizontal reservation (PH of U.P., D.F.F. of U.P. women of U.P. and Ex-Army personnel candidates of U.P.) shall purchase UPPSC Application Form according to their main category.

17. The candidates must keep a Photocopy of their UPPSC OMR application form with them. They must mention their UPPSC OMR Application Form No. in the correspondence with the Commission in future. Form set purchased from the post office will contain UPPSC OMR application form, conventional UPPSC Application Form, one envelope and instructions booklet.

Candidates will ensure the receipt of both UPPSC OMR application form and conventional UPPSC Application Form keeping in the envelope of form set in the commission's office before last date.
