Medellan laws of inheritance recombination and linkage, sex determination and sex linked inheritance; blood groups and RH-factor. mutation, origin of life, evolution evidence for eolution, theories of evolution sources and nature of organic variations, natural selection; isolating mechanisms and their role, speciation, evolution of man.
3. Geological eras and geological distribution of animals; geographical realms and geographical distribution of animals; fossils, Taxonomic Principles and Binomial nomenclature, international code of zoological nomenclature, taxonomic hierarchy, species concept
4. Gametogenesis, fertilization, cleavage and gastrulation of amphioxux, frog and chick; fate maps of frog gastrulac, metamorphosis in ascidian and frog; formation and fate of extra embryonic membranes in chick; placentation mammals, development of opmet of eye; regeneration.
5. Ecosytems : biotic and abiotic factors; food chain and energy flow, interspecific animal associations; air, water and land pollution; acid rain; global warming, causes and consequences of ozone depletion, wild life of India; sactuarles and national parks of Uttar Pradesh; Project of Tiger; Nanda Devi biosphere reserve; WWF India
6. Poisonous and non-poisonous snakes of India; food fishes of Uttar Pradesh, beneficial and harmful insects, apiculture, sericulture and pond fish culture.

8. Structure and life hisory of the following : Parameccium.
