Application Procedure for UPPSC - Combined Lower Subordinate Services Examination:
UPPS 2009 Application Fee:
The fee shall be taken from every candidate with the cost of OMR application form. The details are printed on the OMR envelopes. No fees has to be paid by the candidates through Treasury Challan or Bank Draft etc.
The successful candidates for main examination will be required to pay the fee for main examination. The fee for General candidate, Other Backward class candidates of U.R will be Rs.230/- and for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates of U.R will be Rs.110/- Ex-Army personnel of U.R, D.F.F. of U.R and P.H. of U.R will deposit their fees according to their main category.
UPPS 2009 Application Form:
Applications at this stage are being invited for the preliminary examination only. Candidates, who will be declared successful for admission to the main examination will have to apply again by the detailed application forms supplied to them by Commission.
The commission shall make available the OMR application forms for preliminary examination alongwith instruction from listed Post Offices in the advertisement as indicated in the box above.

Some Instructions for filling the Application form:
Candidates must go through the advertisement thoroughly and they should apply only after they are satisfied that they fulfill all the conditions of eligibility,
Candidates after studying the syllabus printed at the end of this advertisement should select their optional subject for the preliminary examination only from the subjects permitted for preliminary examination,
Candidates must mention their optional subject in the relevant column of application form otherwise the application form of the candidate shall be rejected.
Candidates desirous of getting the benefit of one or more reservation must mention their category / sub category / categories in the relevant column of application form in words otherwise they shall be deemed to be General Candidates.
Enclosures:
Candidates must paste one passport size self attested photograph on the application form at the space provided for the purpose, on violation the candidature shall be cancelled.
Note:- No certificate has to be enclosed with the application form in support of the information/claim filled by the candidate in various columns of O.M.R. application form.
Last Date for Receipt of Application:
Application form complete in all respect must reach the Secretary Public Service Commission. U.P. 10 Kasturba Gandhi Mart, Allahabad-211018 either by registered post or personally (by hand) upto 5.00 P.M. of the last date 29 May 2009 as mentioned. Application through fax shall not be accepted.
Some information about Main Examination and interview:
Only such candidates will be admitted to the main (Written) Examination who are declared successful in the preliminary Examination.
Candidates should carefully note that they will appear for the main examination against the same Roll. No. as allotted to them for the Preliminary Examination.
The centres and the dates for the main examination shall be fixed by the Commission later on.
Only such candidates will be called for interview who are declared successful on the basis of the main (Written) Examination
Candidates will have to fill up the prescribed application form before the interview (viva-voce test)
The preference for various posts shall be taken at the time of interview which shall be final and thereafter no change shall be admissible.
All original certificate shall be vertified at the time of interview. Candidates will also be required to furnish 4 passport size photographs (2 photo graphs attested by their Head of Department or Head of the institution where they received education or by a Gazetted Officer and two plain photographs at the time of interview.
Candidates serving under the central or State Government will have to produce No Objection Certificate' from the Employer at the time of interview.
The candidates who are successful in the main examination must appear in the interview (viva-voce).
Note:- The candidate must enclose all certificates and marksheets of every year of Graduation and Post-Graduation in support of their claims rendered in the application form for main examination.
If they do not furnish their certificates, their candidature shall be cancelled.
