For SI. No. 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8: A Post Graduate Degree in the respective subject from a University established by law In India or a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

For SI. No. 2: A Post Graduate Degree in Hindi and Bachelors Degree in Arts with Sanskrit from a university established by Law in India or a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

For Si. No. 5 (Biology): A Post Graduate Degree in Botany or Zoology from a University established by Law in India or a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

UP PSC Recruitment 2010 Preferential Qualification for Lecturer Vacancy:

1. L.T. Diploma or B.T. from a Government Training College or a Training College recognized by the Government or a Bachelors Degree in Education (B.Ed. Degree) from a University established by Law in India.
2. Five years teaching experience of Class VI to X in any Educational institute recognized by the Government.

3. Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years or obtained a "B" Certificate of National Cadet Corps; shall, other things being equal, be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment.

40 - 50 years (Age relaxation as per rules) provided further that in case of a person already in service in any Forensic Science Laboratory of any State Government / Union Government the appointing authority may relax the upper age limit upto the service rendered in such Laboratory, subject to a maximum of 10 years, but the upper age limit so relaxed shall, in any case, not exceed 55 years.
