Essential Qualification: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from any recognised College or University in India or abroad as recognised by Institution of Engineers (India) and on the basis of which a candidate is exempted from section "A" and "B" of the Assosiate membership examination of the Institution or must have passed section "A" and "B" of Associateship Examination in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering of Institution of Engineers (India).

Preferential Qualification for above three posts:

Being other things equal those candidates will be preferred:

1. who have served in the Territorial Army for minimum period of two years.
2. obtained a "B" certificate of National Cadet Corps:

Pension: As per Government policy.

Age Limit: 21 to 35 years. Only for above 3 posts date of the calculation of age will be 01 July, 2007. Upper age limit for reserved category candidates will be relaxable according to rules. In case of a person, who has already rendered one years, service or more in any of the centralised service or in the palika, the maximum age limit shall be greater to the extent, he has rendered continuous service or a period of seven year's which ever is less.
