1. TNPSC Applications are invited upto 5.45 p.m on 02-02-2010 for tnpsc direct recruitment to the tnpsc job vacancies in the following posts:

3. General Information for TNPSC Recruitment 2010 (Common for Both the Posts):

A) The number of tnpsc vacancies advertised is only approximate and is liable to modification with reference to tnpsc vacancy position at any time before finalization of selection for Oral Test.

B) The rule of reservation of appointment is applicable to each post separately and distribution of the tnpsc Job vacancies will be as per the rule in force.

C) If no qualified and suitable female candidates are available for selection against the tnpsc vacancy reserved for Women those TNPSC vacancies will be filled by male candidates belonging to the respective communal categories.

D) The Physically Handicapped persons should produce before appointment, a certificate of physical fitness from the Medical Board to the effect that his/her handicap will not render him/her incapable of efficiently discharging the duties attached to the post to which he/she has been selected.

For the post of Speech and Hearing Specialist; all the three categories of PH and for the post of Microbiologist, Orthopaedically Handicapped persons only are eligible for the 3% reservation of TNPSC Job vacancies intended for PH persons. However, no turn earmarked for Physically Handicapped persons has fallen in the turns utilised for any of the said posts for this TNPSC recruitment.

E) Reservation of appointments to Destitute Widows and Ex-Servicemen will not apply to tnpsc recruitment.

F) Any claim relating to the selection (not related to candidature or/and claims made in TNPSC application Form 2010) should be received within 90 days from the date of announcement of results. Claims received thereafter will receive no attention.

G) Certificate of Physical Fitness required to be produced by the candidates selected for appointment to the post of Speech and Hearing Specialist will be in the form prescribed for Posts "other than Executive and Ministerial" and to the post of Microbiologist will be in the form prescribed for Posts "Executive". The Standard of vision required for the above posts is 'Standard-III'.

Candidates with defective vision should produce eye fitness certificate from a qualified eye specialist. Colour Blindness will be a disqualification for the post of Microbiologist.
