1. Applications are invited for filling One posts of Superintendent of Police / Deputy Commissioner of Police, Wireless (Engineering), General State Service.

2. Reservation for Physically challenged persons:

  1. As per G.R Home 24th November, 1999, physically challenged Candidates are not eligible for these posts

3. Pay:

  1. Rs.12000-375-16500/- plus other admissible allowances As per prevalent rules.

4. Age:

  1. Not more than 45 years as on 1st August, 2009
  2. The upper age limit shall not apply to the employee of Government of Maharashtra.
  3. The age limit may be relaxed for a period of not exceeding two years by the Government on the recommendation of the Commission in favour of candidates having exceptional qualifications or experience or both

5. Qualifications: Candidates must posses

  1. A degree in Tele communication or Radio Engineering of a Statutory University or qualification recognised as equivalent there to by the Government of Maharashtra; or
  2. A post - graduate degree of a Statutory University in Physics with Radio Communications as a special subject,
  3. Have practical and administrative experience gained after acquiring such degree, in a Radio Communications Organisations of Repute for not less than seven years out of which experience for not less than five years should be practical experience.
  4. Possess specialised training and experience in Radio Tele Communications.
  5. Provided that the requirement of qualification mentioned in sub-clause (5.1.1 & 5.1.2) may be waived in case of candidates who have served in the Armed Forces of the Union and Who are otherwise considered qualified for the post.
  6. Not with standing any thing contained sub-clause (5.1.3), if at any stage of selection, the Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates possessing the requisite experience are not available to fill up the vacancies reserved for candidates belonging to scheduled caste, then the Commission may in the matter of such selection relax the experience up to 40% and select suitable candidates belonging to such caste.

7. General: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of Two years. There are prospectus of promotion to the post of Director Inspector General (D.I.G.) of Police (Wireless Selected candidates shall be on probation for a period of two years.

8. Notes

  1. The Commission at its discretion may shortlist the applicants for interview based on reasonable criteria i.e. experience and/or higher qualification, etc. OR may conduct Written objective type (questions) screening test to shortlist candidates for interview. The syllabus and medium of question paper and other details for the test shall be displayed on Commission's Website.
  2. Copies of certificates should not be attached along with the Application Form. However, candidates are required to furnish an affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs.100/- to be affirmed before Notary in respect of correctness and authenticity of the information mentioned in the application form. Specimen of affidavit is published on the Commission's website in the Specimen Form of Affidavit for Direct Recruitment Posts section
  3. The Application Form should be accompanied by an affidavit and summary sheet, failing which it is treated as incomplete and will be rejected
  4. The candidate should submit all the original certificates alongwith one set of zerox copies at the time of interview as per instruction given in Chapter-4 of the Prospectus provided alongwith the application form
