Reservation for Physically challenged persons :-
As per G.R., Industry, Energy & Labour Department No.MuLeSa-2006/9/(301)/Udyog-4, dated 3rd March, 2009 amongst Physically Challenged candidates Only Low Vision, Partially Deaf and Locomotor's Disability (Only One Arm affected, One Leg affected & Both Leg affected) candidates are eligible for this post and candidates only who submit the certificate mentioning clearly such type of disability will only be considered for the post.
Pay :
- Rs.14300-400-18300 plus other admissible allowances as per prevalent rules.
[Total Emolument Approx. Rs.33462/- per month] [Llkely to be further revised in the Sixth pay Commission]
Age:
- Not more than 45 years as on 1" August, 2009. Relaxable as per rules.
- The upper age limit shall not apply to the employee of Government of Maharashtra.
Age limit may be relaxed by Government on recommendation of the Commission in favour of candidates having exceptional qualification or experience or both.
Maharashtra Public Service Commission Recruitment 2009 Qualification
Qualification: Candidates must possess:-
- A degree in Printing Technology; OR
A degree in any faculty, and a diploma in Printing Technology in Offset printing or Letter Press Printing or a Certificate in Typography (Printing) or a Certificate of a National Apprenticeship in Printing or a Certificate of completion of 4 years Departmental Apprenticeship;
Have a thorough knowledge of type-faces, hand composition, mono type and lino type composing, letterpress printing machines, different types of binding and working knowledge of various photo litho and photo engraving "processes and are conversant with the latest development in printing technology; or have a thorough knowledge of photo-litho, plate making, off-set printing and photo engraving with a working knowledge of letter press printing operations and are conversant with the latest development in printing technology;
Have knowledge of factory administration with particular reference to production scheduling, cost control and Labour relations;
Have knowledge of management, accounting measurement of productivity and estimating and ability to prepare long term development plans for Government presses; and
Have administrative experience in a responsible position in a printing concern, which in the opinion, of the Commission is a large and of a good reputation, for not less than ten years, out of which at least five years should be in a managerial position, after obtaining the qualification mentioned in 5.1 and 5.2 above.
Preference may be given to candidates who have undergone advanced training in printing technology and obtained a diploma or degree in printing technology in a foreign country.
If candidates with the prescribed period of experience are not available, those with experience of a shorter period may also be considered.

General:
- Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.
- There are no prospects of promotion to this post.
Note:
In addition the candidates should attach separate sheet of details of qualification, along with application form, starting from S.S.C., H.S.C. and year wise marks of degree and class etc. of each year as per column 21 or 31 in the application form. Specimen of proforma is available on the website of Commission in 'specimen sheet of details of qualifications' section'.
The Commission at its discretion, may shortlist the applications for interview, based on reasonable criteria i.e. experience and/or higher qualification, etc. OR may conduct Written objective type Screening Test (multiple choice question) to shortlist candidates for interview. The syllabus and medium of question paper and other details for the test shall be displayed on the Commission's website.
Copies of certificates should not be attached along with the Application Form. However, candidates are required to furnish an affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs.100/-, affirmed before a Notary in respect of correctness and authenticity of the information mentioned in the Application Form. Specimen of affidavit is published on the website in the. "Specimen form of Affidavit for Direct Recruitment Posts" Section.
The Application Form should be accompanied by an affidavit, failing which it will be treated as incomplete & will be rejected.
The candidate should submit all the certificates at the time of interview as per instruction given in Chapter-4 of the Prospectus provided along with the application form.
