Applications are invited for filling 2 posts of Deputy Medical Superintendent, Group-B of T.B. Hospitals, Sewree under Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

The details regarding vacancies are as follows:

2. Pay: Rs.11300-15200 plus special pay Rs.300 plus other admissible allowances as per prevalent Rules. (T.E. approx. Rs.38,000/-).

3. Age:

1. Not more than 40 years as on 1st July, 2009. Relaxable as per Rules.
2. The upper age limit shall not apply to persons already in the service of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.
3. Age limit may be relaxable in favour of candidate with exceptional qualification and / or experience.

4. Qualifications : Candidates Must

1. Possess a degree in Medicine and Surgery of a recognised University or any other qualification specified in the First or Second Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
2. Possess a post-graduate degree or diploma in Tuberculosis or in Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis of a recognised Indian University or an equivalent qualifications from a foreign University or Institution, and thereafter
3. Possess a practical and administrative experience of TB work in a large TB organisation for not less than 3 years.

6. General:

1. Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of three years.
2. Selected candidates should have knowledge of Marathi language.
3. A person appointed to the post will have to register himself with the Maharasthra Medical Council or his name should be borne on the Indian Medical Register.
4. The Commission at it's discretion, may shortlist the applicants for interview based on reasonable criteria, i.e. experience and/or higher qualification, etc. OR may conduct written objective type screening test (multiple choice question) to shortlist the candidates for interview. The syllabus and medium of question paper and other details for the test shall be displayed on the Commission's Website.
5. Copies of certificates should not be attached with application form. However, candidates are required to furnish a affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs.100/- to be affirmed before Notary in respect of correctness and authenticity of the information mentioned in the application form. Specimen of affidavit is published on the web site in the "Specimen form of Affidavit for Direct Recruitment Posts" section.
6. The Application Form should be accompanied by an affidavit, failing which it will be treated as incomplete & will be rejected.
7. The candidate should submit all the original certificates alongwith one set of xerox copies of the certificates at the time of interview as per instruction given in chapter-4 of the prospectus provided alongwith the application form.
