1. Applications are invited for filling 5 posts of Chief Administrative Officer, General State Service, Group-A. Details regarding vacancy are as follows:-

2. Reservation for Physically Challanged Persons:
1. As per G.R., Public Health Department, No.Apang-2004/55/ Aa-2, dt. 27th July, 2004 amongst physically challenged candidates only partially sighted, partially deaf and Locomotor Disability (only one leg affected) candidates are eligible for this post & candidates who submit the certificate mentioning clearly such type of disability will only be considered for the post.
3. Pay:
1. Rs.8,000-275-13,500/- plus other admissible allowances as per prevalent rules. [Total Emolument Approx.Rs.22,080/- per month][Likely to be further revised in the Sixth pay Commission]
2. Higher Starting pay is admissible in case of candidate with exceptionally higher qualifications and experience, when suitable candidate are not available on the minimum.
3. The extent of higher starting pay will be decided by the Govt, on merit of each case & it will remain fixed during the probationary period.
4. Age:
1. Not more than 40 years as on 1st August, 2009. Relaxableas per rules.
2. The upper age limit shall not apply to the employees of Government of Maharashtra.
3. Age limit may be relaxed in favour of candidates having exceptional qualifications or experience or both.
5. MPSC Recruitment 2009 Educational Qualification
1. A degree or a qualification recognised by the Govt. to be Equivalent thereto and thereafter
2. Possess executive or administrative experience or both, for a period of not less than 7 years, in Government Department, commercial concern, local authority or a corporation or board established by the Government AND
3. Have adequate knowledge of Marathi, so as to be able to speak, read and write the language with facility.
Preference may be given to candidates conversant with the rules, regulation and procedure relating to Government service matters particularly the Maharashtra Civil Services Rules, the financial Rules and accounting procedure and similar other rules regarding Government establishments.

7. General:
1. All things being equal, preference will be given to backward class Candidates.
2. Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.
3. There are no prospects of promotion to this post.
4. Selected candidates will have to sign an agreement embodying the conditions of his service including the conditions to serve Government for a period of five years or to pay a penalty of Rs.500/- or such other sum may be prescribed by the Government.
8. Note:
1. The Commission at its discretion, may shortlist the applications for interview, based on reasonable criteria i.e. experience and/or higher qualification, etc. OR may conduct Written objective type Screening Test (multiple choice questions) to shortlist candidates for interview. The syllabus and medium of question paper and other details for the test shall be displayed on the Commission's web site.
2. Copies of certificates should not be attached along with the Application Form. However, candidates are required to furnish an affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs.100/-, affirmed before a Notary in respect of correctness and authenticity of the information mentioned in the Application Form. Specimen of affidavit is published on the website in the "Specimen form of Affidavit for Direct Recruitment Posts" Section.
3. The Application Form should be accompanied by an affidavit, failing which it will be treated as incomplete & will be rejected.
4. The candidate should submit all the certificates at the time of interview as per instruction given in Chapter-4 of the Prospectus provided along with the application form.
