Applications are invited for filling 1 post of Associate Professor in Community Dentistry in Nair Hospital Dental College, Municipal Superior Service under Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.

Pay:
Rs.12000-420-18300 plus other admissible allowances as per prevalent Rules.
Age:
- Not more than 40 years as on 1st August, 2009. Relaxable as per Rules.
The upper age limit shall not apply to persons already in the service of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai.
Age limit being relaxable in favour of candidates with exceptional qualifications and/or experience.
Educational Qualification:
Candidate must possess
- B.D.S. degree of Indian University or an equivalent qualification with post-graduate (M.D.S.) qualification in Community Dentistry and thereafter 3 years teaching experience as Lecturer in the subject concerned.

General:
- Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of three years.
A person appointed to the post shall be required to register his name in the Maharashtra State Dental Council as per the Dentist Act, 1948 (160 of 1948) before joining appointments, unless it is already borne on the Register of Maharashtra State Dental Council.
Notes
In addition the candidates should attach separate sheet of details of qualifications, along with application form, starting from S.S.C., H.S.C., and year wise marks of degree and class etc. of each year as per column 21 or 31 in the application form. The Commission at its discretion, may shortlist the applicants for interview based on reasonable criteria, i.e. experience and/or higher qualification, etc. OR may conduct written objective type screening test (multiple choice questions) to shortlist the candidates for interview. The syllabus and medium of question paper and other details for the test shall be displayed on the Commission's Website.
Copies of certificates should not be attached with application form. However, candidates are required to furnish a affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs.100/- to be affirmed before Notary in respect of correctness and authenticity of the information mentioned in the application form. The Application Form should be accompanied by an affidavit, failing which it will be treated as incomplete & will be rejected.
The candidate should submit all the original certificates alongwith one set of xerox copies of the certificates at the time of interview as per instruction given in chapter-4 of the prospectus provided alongwith the application form.
