Recruitment of Sub-Inspector (Overseer)

Applications are invited from Male Indian Citizens for filling up 61 posts of Sub Inspector (Overseer) Group 'C' in ITB Police in the pay band of Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay 4200 plus usual allowances as admissible to the Central Government employees from time to time and Ration Money, Washing Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance while posted in specified border areas, free accommodation or H.RA, LTC, and any other allowances as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules/instructions.

The selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. They will be governed by ITBPF Act & Rules.

Last date for receipt of applications is 20th October 2009 (20/10/2009) for all States except for North Eastern States, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshdeep for which last date is 27th October, 2009.

The candidate would mention/intimate if any criminal cases pending/lodged against him in any police station / Hon'ble court while appearing for the test.

Note:

1. 10% of the vacancies in each category are reserved for Ex-Servicemen,
2. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.
3. They will be governed under ITBP Act and rules as well as CCS Rules including latest, amendment in pension Rules by introducing New Contributory Pension Scheme to all Central Government employees/members of All India service effective from 01st January 2004.
4. The numbers of vacancies are subject to change.
