Applications are invited for filling up the following Group 'C' post in ITB Police from Indian citizens Female for Head Constable (Midwife).

Last date for receipt of applications is 15.7.2009 for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim.

Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep for which last date is 31.7.2009.

  1. Matriculation examination pass from a recognised Board or equivalent.
  2. Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery course from a recognized institution.
  3. Registered in Nursing Council of Central Government or State Government.

Note:

  1. The number of vacancies includes backlog vacancies.
  2. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.
  3. They will be governed under New Defined Contribution Pension Scheme as notified vide Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance vide notification dated 22.12.2003.
  4. The number of vacancies are subject to variation.
  5. Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.
  6. Relaxation for Government Servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions/ orders issued by the Central Government
  7. Additional relief and rehabilitation for victims of riots in 1984 and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat:
    1. The children and dependent family members of those who were killed in the riots (1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat) would be eligible to get this benefit.
    2. Children means:

      1. Son (including adopted son); or
      2. daughter (including adopted daughter),

      Dependent family members mean:

      1. Spouse: or
      2. children: or
      3. brother or sister in the case of unmarried Govt, servant, who was wholly, dependent on the Government Servant at the time of his killing in the riot. Children and dependent family members of those killed in the riots (1984 riots and 2002 communal riots of Gujarat) will produce a certificate from the concerned District Collector.
    3. The children and dependent family members of those killed in the riots should produce a certificate to that effect from the concerned District Collectors. A candidate can apply against vacancies in any State / UT if he fulfills other conditions, however, to avail the present relaxation he has to produce the certificate from the District, wherein the victim was killed.
    4. Five years of Age relaxation will be granted to the children and dependent family members of those killed in the riots (1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat). SC/ST/OBC relaxation, as per Government instructions, will be in addition.
  8. Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01st day of January 1980 to the 31st day of December 1989 shall be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit by five years in support of which the proof of residence must be submitted alongwith the application form duly signed by:
    1. The District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction he had ordinarily resided; or
    2. Any other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt. of J&K to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1.1.80 to 31.12.89.
  9. Cut-off date (for age) will be 15.7.2009.

Other Allowances:

  1. Dearness Allowance as per Central Govt, rates.
  2. Free ration while posted in specified border areas or Ration Money in other areas as per rate admissible from time to time.
  3. Special Compensatory Allowance while posted in specified border areas
  4. Detachment Allowance while on detachment duty.
  5. Washing Allowance as per rate admissible from time to time
  6. Free residential accommodation or house rent in lieu as per rules
  7. Free medical facilities as per rules
  8. Free Leave Pass/Leave Travel Concession as per rules
  9. Children Education Allowance as per rules.

Place of Work: Any where within as well as outside the territory of India.
