Recruitment for the Post of Constable / Tradesmen (Tailor / Gardener / Cobbler)
Applications are invited from eligible male Indian citizens for filling up the Vacancies of Constable / Tradesmen (Tailor / Gardener / Cobbler) on temporary basis likely to be permanent in lndo - Tibetan Border Police Force.
The post has all India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad.
On appointment, the candidates shall be governed by the ITBPF Act and Rules.
The Last date of receipt of application is 06 November, 2009, for all states except North - Eastern states, Sikkim, Ladakh division of J&K State, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Sub - Division of Chamba District of HP, Andaman & Nicobar Island, and Lakshadweep for which last date is 13 November, 2009.
Pay Scale and Other Allowances:
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 - 20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2,000/- per month.
Other allowances:
The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing Allowance as admissible from time to time, Special Compensatory Allowance while posted in specified border areas, free uniform, free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Free leave pass and any other allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the rules / instructions.
They will be covered under new restructured defined contributory pension system.
A candidate appearing for the test should mention / intimate if any criminal case(s) is / are pending / lodged against him in any police station / Hon'ble court.

Note:
10% of the vacancies in each category are reserved for Ex - Serviceman.
The vacancies of SC / ST / OBC include the backlog vacancies in respective categories.
Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Recruitment Eligibility Conditions:
Age: Between 18 to 23 Years (Cut off date for age will be 6th November, 2009).
Note:
Upper age limit is relaxable for SC / ST by 5 Years and for OBC by 3 Years.

Ex - Servicemen being trained soldier will be required to qualify the written test, trade test and Medical fitness test.
As per Government, orders relaxation in prescribed physical standard and Education is admissible.
Relaxation of upper age limit to the extent of military service plus 3 Years is applicable.
No PET is required to be held for an Ex-Serviceman.

Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 Years to the children and dependent family members of those killed in 1984 riots and riots of 2002 in Gujarat.
SC / ST / OBC relaxation as per Government, instructions will be in addition.
Children and dependent family member should produce a certificate to that effect from the Collector of the concerned District where the victim was killed.
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 Years to all persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01 January, 1980 to the 31 December, 1989.
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 Years for Government, servant in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government. Persons serving in Government / Semi Government, department may send their applications through proper channel along with "No Objection Certificate" as per format in Annexure - I.
Educational & Other Qualification for Indo Tibetan Border Police Force Recruitment:
8th Class pass with two Years work experience in respective trade. (or)
One year certificate from Industrial Training Institute / Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade. (or)
2 Years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade.
