Delhi Police Recruitment of Senior Prosecutor and Prosecutor

Appointment to the Post of Full Time Legal Consultants as Senior Prosecutor and Prosecutor for Teaching Law to the Trainees at Police Training College, Jharoda Kalan, New Delhi.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for appointment of 02 posts of Senior Prosecutors and 03 posts of Prosecutors as full time legal consultants for a period of two years in Police Training College, Jharoda Kalan, New Delhi. The eligibility conditions for the above posts are as under:

Educational Qualification: The applicant must possess LL.B. (Prof.) Degree of a recognized university.

Age: The maximum age may not exceed 65 years as on 30.06.2009.

Experience: The applicant should have at least 05 years of experience of active practice in lower courts as an advocate in criminal matters. Simple practice in any other field such as civil, tax, arbitration etc. will not be considered. Preference Preference will be given to applicants having some teaching experience in a reputed academy/ University having a Master's Degree in Law.

The terms & conditions for the posts are as under:

1. The maximum ceiling of fee in respect of non-officials (outside experts) engaged as full time consultant will be Rs.26,000/- per month (with no DA, HRA or any other relief). In case of retired government servant engaged as full time consultants, the fee will be fixed subject to a ceiling of Rs.20,000/- per month subject to the condition that the fee plus pension plus dearness pension shall not exceed the last pay drawn plus dearness pay thereon.

2. No other allowance or relief other than those mentioned above will be paid.

3. Income tax will be deducted at source as required under the provisions of Income Tax Rules.

4. The consultant will be assigned atleast four lectures per day.

5. In case of retired government servants, the terms of appointment will not be more than 6 months initially whereas for a private person this will be of two years. There will be a provision for reviewing the contract after this period of 06 months or two years on the basis of performance as the case may be.

6. The selected applicants will have to take up the assignment of teaching on all working days except on Sundays and their presence at PTC will be required on each working day between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM.

7. No transport facility or Transportation Allowances shall be provided.

8. Department will adopt a procedure including preliminary screening of application, interview of the applicant by appointing a selection board of the purpose.
