Applications are invited from Male Indian candidates belonging to Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Lakshadweep, Pondicherry, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi States/ UTs for the post of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force against Sports Quota on temporary basis likely to be permanent in the pay band-l Rs.5200-20200 plus grade pay Rs.2000/- plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Government Employees from time to time.

In addition, Ration allowances, Medical assistance, free uniform, free accommodation, free leave pass etc. are admissible to BSF. The post has all India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even in abroad. They will be governed under BSF Act & Rules as well as CCS Rules.

Total 10 vacancies are to be filled up in following disciplines:

1. Athletic
2. Volleyball
3. Basketball
4. Aquatic
5. Water Sports
6. Kabaddi

Note: Competent authority reserve the right to amend the number of candidates in any particular stream as per actual requirement at the time of recruitment.

Eligibility Condition:

Age: Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st August 2009. Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC and 5 years, for SC/ST candidates.

Education: Minimum Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board of Education.

Physical Standard:

Note: Men belonging to Hill areas should produce Hill area certificate issued by concerned State Authority at the time of recruitment so that they can take benefits in height.
