Recruitment of Constable / GD (Mahila) in Border Security Force.

Border Security Force Applications are invited from the female candidates belonging to West Bengal and Punjab states for the post of Constable / GD (Mahila) in BSF on temporary basis likely to be permanent in the pay band - 1 Rs.5200 - 20200 + Grade pay Rs.2000/- plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Govt. Employees from time to time.

In addition, Ration allowance, Medical Assistance, free uniform, free accommodation, free leave pass, etc. are admissible to BSF. The post has all India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad.

They will be governed under BSF Act and Rules as well as CCS Rules. The selected candidates will be governed by the new contributory Pension Scheme, which came into effect from 01 Jan 2004.

BSF Constable Recruitment 2010 Eligibility Condition:

1. Age Limit for BSF Constable Recruitment:

Between 18 to 23 years as on 01.08.2009. Upper age limit is relaxable by 03 years for OBC and 05 years for SC / ST candidates. Five years of age relaxation may be granted to the children and dependent family members of Punjab State those killed in the communal riots of the year 1984.

The children and dependent family members of those killed in these riots should produce a certificate to that effect from the concerned District Collectors. SC / ST / OBC relaxation as per government instructions will be in addition.

2. BSF Recruitment 2010 Educational Qualification: Matriculation or Xth Class pass.

BSF Recruitment Constable 2010 Physical Standards

Note: Women belonging to hill areas should produce hill area certificate issued by concerned state Authority at the time of BSF recruitment so that they can take benefits in height.

Medical Standard for Border Security Force Recruitment:

Eye sight:

The minimum distance vision should be 6/6 both eyes without glasses. The candidates must have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in the dyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical deflect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

Women serving in Govt. / Semi Govt. department may sent their applications through proper channel along with "No Objection Certificate".

Wards (Daughters) of serving / retired / deceased BSF personnel may also apply if so desired accordingly. Daughters of serving BSF personnel may apply either from their Home State or from State in which her father is posted / deployed at the time of recruitment in BSF.

This concession is also applicable for serving / retired / deceased enrolled followers of BSF.
