BSF Assam Recruitment 2009 - Constable

Applications are invited from the male Indian Citizen for the post of Constable (General Duty) in BSF against Sports Quota on temporary basis likely to be permanent in the pay band of Rs.5,200-20,200/- with grade pay of Rs.2,000/- plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Government employees from time to time.

In addition, ration allowance, medical assistance, free uniform, free accommodation, free leave pass etc. are admissible to BSF. The post has all India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad. They will be governed under BSF Act & Rules as well as CCS rules.

The selected candidates will be governed by the new contributory Pension Scheme, which came into effect from 01 Jan 2004.

Total 10 numbers of vacancies are to be filled up in following disciplines:

1. Gymnastic
2. Cross Country
3. Boxing
4. Judo
5. Athletics
6. Kabaddi
7. Wrestling
8. Football

Eligibility Conditions for the Post of Constable (GD)

Age: Between 18 to 23 years as on 01/08/2009. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC candidates.

Education: Minimum Matric or equivalent.

Note:

1. Men belonging to Hill areas should produce hill area certificate issued by concerned State authority at the time of recruitment so that they can be taken benefit in height.
2. Candidates of ST Category intend to avail the relaxation in height and chest as applicable for this category should produce Tribal Certificate issued by appropriate civil authorities of respective State Govt on prescribed form.
3. Relaxation if any, Height, Chest, Weight and Education etc may be considered for the outstanding sports men/players by the competent authority.
