Planning Commission requires the services of a suitable officer for appointment to one post of Research Assistant (Economics), General Central Service, Gr. 'C' [Non Gazetted, Non-Ministerial] in the pre-revised scale of pay of Rs.5000-150-8000 [PB-2 (9300 - 34800) plus Grade Pay of Rs.4200] on deputation basis, from amongst the officials who fulfill the following requirements and conditions.

Eligibility: Officers of the Central Government:

a.

1. Holding analogous or equivalent posts on regular basis ; or
2. With three years regular service in posts in the pre-revised scale of pay of Rs.4500-125-7000 or
3. With eight years regular service in posts in the pre-revised scale of pay of Rs.4000-100-6000 or equivalent: and

b. Possessing Bachelor degree in any subject from a recognized University or equivalent.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.

Period of Deputation: The period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Organisation/ Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

Terms & Conditions: The terms of deputation shall be governed by the DoPT's OM No. 2/29/ 91-Estt. (Pay-ll) dated the 5th January, 1994, as amended from time to time.

How to apply: Applications duly filled in, in the prescribed proforma, as at Annexure-I (in duplicate) from the eligible officers who are desirous of being considered for appointment and who can be spared for taking up the assignment within a period of one month from the date of intimation about the selection may be forwarded through proper channel along with the following documents [the documents required at (ii) to (iv) are to be submitted in prescribed proforma as at Annexure-ll along with the application]

1. Up-to-date Confidential Report Dossier or photocopies of Annual Confidential Reports for the last five years (duly attested by an Officer not below the rank of the Under Secretary to the Government of India) or equivalent.
2. Integrity certificate, in the given format, signed by an Officer not below the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Government of India or equivalent
3. Vigilance Clearance, in the given format, indicating that no disciplinary proceedings or criminal proceedings are either pending or contemplated against the Officer concerned; and
4. List of major/ minor penalties, if any, imposed on the candidate during the last 10 years / No penalty Certificate, in the given format.

General: Applicant should ensure that the application is complete in all respects and is in the prescribed format. No column of the format should be left blank.
