Special Recruitment Drive for filling up of posts for persons with disabilities

NPCIL invited applications from eligible candidates from PWD category for the following post.

In addition to basic pay and dearness allowance as per Central Government Scales of Pay, NPCIL also provides various allowances and benefits depending upon the place of posting. Initial posting may be at Kakrapar Atomic Power Station, but employment carries the liability to serve anywhere in India, where NPCIL has its Units.

Essential Qualification for Stenographer Jobs :

1. A Bachelor's Degree in any subject with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
2. A Speed of 80 wpm in English Stenography.
3. A Speed of 40 words per minute in English Typing on PC. Preference will be given to those candidates who possess knowledge of Hindi Typing / Hindi Stenography.
4. Should have passed a certificate course of duration of not less than 6 months on MS-Windows Operating System and Desktop applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point) e-mail management and internet surfing.

NPCIL Selection Criteria: Selection of candidates shall be based on performance in the Written examination, Stenography test, Typewriting Test on PC, Computer Proficiency Test and Personal Interview.

Definition of the Categories: The categorization of the physically challenged persons for purpose of reservation in employment will be on the basis of the following definition:

Visually Handicapped: The blind are those who suffer from either of the total absence of sight, Visual Acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (Snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses, limitation of the field of vision subtending an angle of 20 degree or worse.

Hearing Handicapped: The deaf are those in whom the sense of hearing is no-functional for ordinary purposes of life. They do not hear, understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. The cases included in this category will those having hearing loss than 60 decibels in the better ear (profound impairment) or total loss of hearing in both ears.

Important requirement of PH certificate: The application should be attached with a disability Certificate issued by the Appropriate authority regarding physical disability according to the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Rules, 1996 notified on 31/12/1996.

General Conditions for Nuclear Power Corporation Recruitment :

1. Journey fare (to and fro) to Candidates belonging to SC / ST category will be reimbursed as per rules.
2. Persons employed in Central Govt. / State Govt. / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies must submit their application through proper channel. However, they may send an advance copy. Applications received directly will not be entertained under any circumstance.
3. Mere fulfilling of the norms will not automatically entitle a candidate to be called for NPCIL written test / typing test / Interview etc.
4. Incomplete, unsigned applications and applications without required enclosures / received after the due date are liable to be rejected.
5. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
6. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
7. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates.
8. NPCIL / KAPS reserves the right to fill-up all the posts or lesser number of posts or even cancel the whole process of Nuclear Power Corporation recruitment without assigning any reason thereof.
