National Thermal Power Corporation Recruitment 2010
NTPC Limited India's largest power company with an installed capacity of 30644 MW is presently operating 15 coal based.
7 gas based power stations and 4 joint ventures.
NTPC contributed nearly one-third of the country's entire power generation during the year 2008 - 09 and plans to become a 75.000 MW power company by 2017.
NTPC has moved ahead by diversifying its portfolio to emerge as an Integrated power major with presence across the entire energy value chain.
NTPC Limited Recruitment has been allocated 6 coal mine blocks which are expected to produce 48 million tons per annum.
NTPC has also ventured into oil & gas exploration.
I. Civil Construction (E2 / E3 / E4 Levels) : 70 Posts
Qualification : Graduate Engineering degree in Civil / Construction with at least 60% marks.
Experience Profile : Should have proven experience in the area of civil construction of power projects / major infrastructure projects.
Profile Preference : Experience with major erection agency / construction agency shall be preferred.
II. Safety (E3 / E4 Levels): 9 Posts
NTPC Limited Qualification :
Graduate Engineering Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Production with at least 60% marks from a recognized University / Institution with full time Diploma in Industrial Safety from Regional Labour institute/Institution recognized under the Factories Act / Rules OR Degree in Engineering in Industrial Safety with atleast 60% marks from a recognized University / Institution.
Post qualification experience shall be counted from the date a candidate has acquired the Degree in Engineering.
Experience Profile :
Experience in compliance with safety regulations under the Factories Act.
Developing, auditing and improving safety systems.
Promotion of safety consciousness amongst employees and examination of machinery, equipment and building from the safety angle.
Experience in organizing safety training and fire fighting would be an added advantage.
III. Industrial Engineering (E2 / E3 Levels) : 4 Posts
NTPC Limited Recruitment 2010 Qualification :
Graduate Degree in Industrial Engineering with atleast 60% marks (or)
Graduate Degree in Engineering with atleast 60% marks with PG Degree / Diploma in Industrial Engineering with atleast 60% marks.
Experience Profile :
Experience in manpower planning, work study, organization and methods, incentive scheme, productivity study, PERT / CPM, MIS etc.
Experience in the Power / energy sector will be an added advantage.
IV. Doctors (E2a / E3 Levels) :31 Posts
Specialties : General medicine, O&G, Orthopedics, Anaesthesia, Surgery, Paediatrics, Radio - diagnosis arid Pathology.
Qualification :
E2A / E3 : MBBS with MD / MS in respective specialty.
E2A [only for Radio-diagnosis and Pathology] : MBBS with PG Diploma in Radiology / Pathology.
[Qualification should be recognized by Medical Council of India]
V. Company Secretary (E1 / E2 Levels): 4 Posts [For Jvs / Subsidiaries of NTPC]
Qualification :
Graduate and qualified Company Secretary (i.e) Associated membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
Degree in Law or Accountancy would be an added advantage.
Experience Profile :
Candidate must possess post qualification executive experience (post Company Secretary membership) in Central Government / Public Sector Undertaking or in Private company having a minimum annual turnover of Rs.250 crores (the candidate should submit documentary proof with the application to establish that the Company has annual turnover of Rs. 250 crores or more).
For the purpose of experience, the component of 15 months on the job training shall not be considered the candidate should possess thorough knowledge of matters pertaining to Institutional finance, Company Law, corporate & secretarial functions and should have handled / organized Board meetings, presentation of Board memorandum / agenda, issue of securities etc.
The candidate should be able to handle the responsibilities of statutory compliance under Companies Act and other relevant corporate laws.
VI.Faculty for Training / PMI - (E5 / E6 / E7 Levels) : 4 Posts
For Strategic management area :
(E6 / E7 Levels) : 1 post For Coal mining & washeries area.
(E5 / E6 Levels) : 1 post For Hydro power area.
