Applications are invited for filling up of following posts by the method shown against each in the National Medicinal Plants Board, Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

The NMPB Eligibility and other requirements, the period of deputation, the maximum NMPB Age limit etc. are given. The terms and conditions the deputation would be the same as prescribed by the Department of Personnel & Training Vide their O.M.No.2/29/91-Estt. (Pay II) dated 5.1.1994 as amended from time to time.

NMPB Applications Form should be sent through proper channel. While forwarding the NMPB Applications, concerned department should send the up-to-date ACRs of last five years and Vigilance clearance certificate of the applicant. It may also be ensured that no major/minor penalty has been imposed on the concerned officer.

It may also be certified by the forwarding authority that the particulars furnished by the applicant are correct and that no disciplinary/vigilance case is either pending or contemplated against the applicant.

It is requested that vacancy may be given wide publicity and the particulars of eligible officers who are fulfilling the NMPB eligibility prescribed and who are willing to be considered for deputation and also possessing requisite experience and whose services can be spared by the parent department may kindly be forwarded to the following address within 60 days.

NMPB Eligibility conditions, Educational Qualification, Experience etc., for deputation.

(1) Jobs for Finance & Administrative Officer:

Officers under the Central (or) State Governments (or) Union territories (or) Universities (or) recognized research Institute (or) public sector undertakings or semi-Government or autonomous bodies or statutory organizations:

1. 1. Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre (or) department; (or)
   2. With five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.9,300-34,800/- plus grade pay Rs.5,400/- (pre-revised scale of Rs.8,000-13,500/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; (or)
   3. With eight years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.9,300-34,800/- plus grade pay Rs.4200/- (pre-revised scale of Rs.6,500-10,500/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
2. Possessing five years experience in administration, establishment and accounts matters.

Note: Period of deputation (including short-term contract) including period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another excadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed four years.

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall be not exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of the receipt of NMPB application form.

(2) Senior Accountant Jobs:

A. (a) (i) Upper Division Clerks of the Central Secretarial Clerical Service with eight years regular service in the grade in the parent cadre or department: and

(b) Who have undergone training in Cash and Accounts work in the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management or equivalent and possess three years experience of cash, accounts and budget work; failing.

B. Officers under the Central Government for NMPB Recruitment 2010:

1. 1. Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; (or)
   2. With three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.9,300-34,800/- plus grade pay Rs.4200/- (pre revised scale of Rs.5,000-8,000/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; (or)
   3. With six years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.5,200-20,200/- plus grade pay Rs.2,800/- (pre-revised scale of Rs.4,500-7,000/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; (or)
   4. With eight years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.5,200-20,200/- plus grade pay Rs.2,400/- (pre-revised scale of Rs.4000-6000/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
2. Who have undergone training in cash and accounts work in the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management or equivalent and possess three years experience of cash, accounts and budget work; or Pass in the Subordinate Account Service or equivalent examination conducted by any of the organized Accounts Department of the Central Government.

Note: Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately proceeding, this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of NMPB Applications.

(3) Senior Research Assistant Jobs:

Officers under the Central or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or recognized research Institutes or public sector undertaking or semi-Government autonomous or statutory organizations:

1. 1. Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; (or)
   2. With three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.9,300-34,800/- plus grade pay Rs.4200/- (pre-revised scale of Rs.5,000-8,000/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; (or)
   3. With six years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs.5,200-20,200/- plus grade pay Rs.2,800/- (pre-revised scale of Rs.4,500-7,000/-) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
2. Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience: Essential: Master's degree of Science in Botany or Pharmacognosy or Forestry or Agriculture or Horticulture or Medicinal Plants or Bio-Technology or Pharmacy (with Pharmacognosy as a main subject) from a recognized University or Institute or equivalent.

Desirable for NMPB 2010:

1. Two Years experience of working in a Government or semi Government department or reputed non-Government organization dealing with Research, Development and Cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic plants.
2. Knowledge of computer operation.

Note 1: The departmental Research Assistant (Botany) in the scale of pay of Rs.5,200-20,200/- plus grade pay Rs.2,800/- (pre revised scale of Rs.4,500-7,000/-) with six years regular service in the grade will also be considered along with outsiders and in case he is selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.

Note 2: The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.

Note 3: Period of deputation (including short term contract) including period of deputation (including short term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.

The maximum NMPB age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) shall be not exceeding fifty six years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications for NMPB.

National Medicinal Plants Board Recruitment 2010
