Applications are invited for filling up one post of Principal, Group 'A' in the Scale of pay Rs. 16400-22400 revised to Rs. 37400-67000 with Academic grade pay of Rs. 10,000/- at Army Cadet College, Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Ministry of Defence (Army) by transfer of officers from Central / State Govts / departments.

Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2010 Eligibility Conditions :

Officers of Central / State Govt holding the post of Vice-Principal or Professor in the UGC pay scale of Rs. 16400-450-20900-500-22400 (pre-revised) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience :

Essential Qualification for Principal Jobs :

1. Ph. D degree from a recognised University or equivalent.
2. 12 years teaching experience at post graduate / degree level and / or research / post graduate research guidance experience.

Note :

1. Principal Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
2. The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes if, at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the Ministry of Defence vacancies reserved for them.

Desirable :

1. Administrative experience preferably as the Head of a College / Department.
2. Knowledge of extra curricular and co-curricular activities.

2. The persons who have attained the age of 56 years of age on the closing date of applications, need not apply. The officer selected for appointment will be governed by the general terms of transfer. The pay will be regulated as per instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time.

3. It is requested that the applications of eligible officers, who could be spared in the event of selection, may please be sent in duplicate in the proforma given to the following address duly countersigned by the Employer, along with the complete and up-to-date Confidential Reports, within 60 days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
