Vacancies - The number of vacancies against each category is provisional and subject to change without any prior Notice.
Reservation - Concessions/Reservation for meritorious sports persons, ex-sevicemen, Widows/divorced women and handicapped persons will be as per rules.
Age: Age will be determined as on closing date of Application i.e. 15th June 2009.
Qualifying age is as under :-
- For General Candidates - 18 to 27 years
- For SC/ST Candidates - 18 to 32 years
- For OBC Candidates - 18 to 30 years
- Relaxed age for Central Goverment Employees.
- Gen - 32 years
- SC/ST - 37 years
- OBC - 35 years
- Relaxed age for Departmental Candidates-
- Gen - 40 Years
- SC/ST - 45 Years
- OBC - 43 Years
- Age relaxation for Meritorious Sportspersons.
- Gen - 5 Years
- SC/ST - 10 Years
- OBC - 8 Years
Age relaxation for Ex-serviemen will be as per rules. Refer to Para 4 of the detailed instructions.
Departmental Candidates
Eligible candidates serving in MES can apply directly, however, application shall be countersigned by OC of the unit and need not be sponsored by Employment Exchange.
The Departmental candidates 'shall be treated at par with the outsiders in all respects except age relaxation as per orders/instructions issued by the Goverment of India from time to lime.
The Departmental candidates to be considered for selection shall be only those who have rendered not less than three years of continuous service in the organisation in the same line or allied cadres and where a relationship could be established that service rendered in the Dept will be useful for efficient discharge of duties in their new post.
Qualification for LDCs (As on 15th June 2009).
- Education.
- Must have passed matriculation or equivalent exam of recognized University/Board.
- Skill
Speed of not less than 30 words per minute on manual typewriter in English or 25 words per minute in typewriting in Hindi.
- Working knowledge of computer operations and its working in MS-Office.
In case of typing on computer, the speed will be increased by 1.5 time. Negative marks for mistakes / omissions 01 marks for every 04 mistakes/omissions.
Qualification for Steno Grade-III (As on 15th June 2009).
- Education
- Must have passed matriculation or equivalent examination of recognized University/Board.
- Skill
Must possess a speed of 80 words per minute in stenography/shorthand either in English or in Hindi to be transcribed on a manual typewriter within time prescribed for the purpose. Visually Handicapped candidates will be required to transcribe the matter in 90 minutes for English Shorthand or in 110 minutes in Hindi shorthand.
- Working knowledge of computer operations and its working in MS-Office.
