Recruitment to the Post of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-II/ Motor Transport 2009
1. Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Junior Intelligence Officer Grade-ll/ Motor Transport, Group 'C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial in the Intelligence Bureau (MHA), Government of India.
The selected candidates will be required to drive any kind of motor vehicle and will also be responsible for its upkeep.
2. Number of Vacancies: 140 (UR - 71, OBC - 38, SC -13 and ST -18).
The numbers of vacancies are provisional and liable to change at any time. The posts are temporary but are likely to continue indefinitely.
3. Scale of Pay: Rs.5200-20200 + Rs. 2400 Grade pay and usual allowances as per Central Government rates.
4. Qualification: Candidates must possess the following qualifications as on the last date of submitting applications:
a) Essential:
- Matriculation or equivalent.
- Possession of valid driving licence for motorcars.
- Knowledge of motor mechanism (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects invehicles),
- Experience for driving a motorcar for atleast 3 years.
b) Desirable: 3 years as Home Guard or Civil Volunteer.
5. Age: Not exceeding 32 years as on the last date for receipt of application i.e. the closing date.
Relaxable for OBC candidates by 3 years, for SC/ST candidates by 5 years and for government servants upto 40 years in accordance with the instructions/orders issued by the Central Government.
Age relaxation is also admissible to Ex-Serviceman as per the instructions issued by the Government of India.
6. Liability of Service: Appointee will be liable to serve any-where in India.
7. Closing Date: The last date i.e. closing date of submitting applications is one month from the date of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News.
Note: Candidates belonging to OBC Category must submit their OBC certificate in the prescribed format (Appendix I) meant for the post under the Government of India alongwith the undertaking.
OBC certificate submitted in any other format except that given at Appendix-I will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. A copy each of the format and undertaking/declaration is available at Appendix-I.
8. Selection Process: Only those candidates who come up to a specific standard following a preliminary screening of applications based on their academic qualifications, marks obtained etc. depending upon the number of vacancies will be called for a test of motor mechanism and driving test followed by an interview at specified centers.
9. Applications to be sent to :- The candidates may submit their applications duly filled in along with all testimonials to one of the following centers of their choice from where they intend to appear in the test/interview.
