Indian Ordnance Factories Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following posts in Ordnance Factory Varangaon.

Civilian Motor Driver (Ordinary Grade)

No. of Post: 03 (Un - Reserved).

Pay Scale for Ordnance Factory Recruitment: Rs.5200 - 20200 + 1900 Grade pay (Plus allowances as admissible under Rules).

Age Limit Ordnance Factory Jobs:

Not exceeding 32 years. (Relaxable for Govt. Servant in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt. from time to time in this regard).

Qualification for Ministry of Defence Vacancies:

1. Matriculation from a recognized University or Board.
2. Must possesses licence for driving light and heavy vehicles with basic knowledge in automobile repairing.

Written Test for Indian Ordnance Factory Recruitment:

Ordnance Factory Recruitment 2010 Syllabus:

1. General Intelligence: The questions will be of 10th Standard and would include both verbal and non-verbal type. Ordnance Factory test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, visual memory, discrimination observation, relationship concept, 10th std. Arithmetic.

2. General Driving Awareness: The test will include common questions on General Knowledge, Traffic Rules, Knowledge about Motor Vehicles, their maintenance and repair.

Skill Test for Ordnance Factory Jobs:

Skill test on driving shall be conducted for only those candidates who attain a minimum qualifying standard in the Ordnance Factory written examination. Number of candidates to be called for the Skill Test should be 1:5 i.e. five times the number of vacancies in Ordnance Factory.

The Skill Test on driving will be same / similar to the tests as are being conducted by the RTOs for giving Driving License. The grading of candidates (selected in written test) will be done based on their assessed skill in driving.

Fire Engine Driver Grade - A

Ordnance Factory Varangaon Recruitment 2010 Qualification:

1. Matriculation.
2. Must possesses license for driving heavy vehicles and have two year driving, experience.
3. Must be physically fit and capable for performing strenuous duties. This requirement will be tested as under:

   • Height without shoes 165 cms.
   • Chest (on expansion) 85cms.
   • Chest (Unexpended) 81.5cms.
   • Weight 50 kgs (minimum).

Endurance Test for Indian Ordnance Factories Recruitment:

1. Carrying a man fireman lift of 63.5 kgs. to distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
2. Climbing 3 meters verticals rope using hand and feet.
3. Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet, (long jump).

Note: Concession of 2.5cms. in height or chest may be allowed for the members of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates from hilly areas.

Indian Ordnance Factories Recruitment 2010 Scheme of Examination:

1. Measurement of physical standards (as specified in the SRO).

2. Endurance Test (as specified in the SRO): Endurance test will be done only for those candidates who qualify in Measurement of Physical Standards.

3. Written Test: Only for those who possess the prescribed physical standards and qualify in the endurance test.

Selection will be based on Written Test & Skill Test. The General Manager / Ordnance Factory Varangaon reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the Written & Skill Test to a reasonable limit based on the criteria being fixed by him and the decision of The General Manager / Ordnance Factory Varangaon in the matter will be final.

Persons working in Central / State Govt. / PSUs may apply through proper channel along with a certificate from their employer that neither any disciplinary case is pending nor contemplated against the applicant.
