Indian Ordnance Factories Applications are invited from Indian National for filling up of the following Vacancy of Group 'C' Posts at Metal & Steel Factory, Ishapore. However, services are liable to be transferred to any of the Ordnance Equipment Factories in India:

Specification for the Fire Engine Driver Post is as under

Educational and Other Qualification for Indian Ordnance Factories Recruitment:

1. Matriculation.
2. Must possess license for driving heavy vehicles and have 2 (two) years driving experience.
3. Must be physically fit and capable for performing strenuous duties. This requirement will be tested as under:

   • Height without shoes 165 cms.
   • Chest (on expansion) 85 cms.
   • Chest (Unexpanded) 81.5 cms.
   • Weight 50 Kgs. (Minimum) Endurance test:
   • Carrying a man fireman lift of 63.5 Kgs. to distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds.
   • Climbing 3 meters verticals rope using hand and feet.
   • Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both fee* (long jump).

Note: Concession of 2 - 5 cms, in height or chest may be allowed for the members of Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates from hilly areas.

Pay Scale for Indian Ordnance Factory Recruitment: Rs.5,200/- - 20,200/- in the Pay Band - 1 + Grade Pay Rs.1900/- Plus usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees from time to time.

Indian Ordnance Factories Recruitment 2010 Age Limit: Not exceeding 32 (Thirty two) Years.

Ordnance Factories of India 2010 Scheme of Examination: 100 Marks

Written Test for Ordnance Factory Recruitment: Only for those who possess the prescribed physical standards and qualify in the endurance test for Indian Ordnance Factories.

Indian Ordnance Factories Syllabus:

General Intelligence: The questions will be of 8th Standard and would include both verbal and non - verbal type. The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, visual memory, discriminatation observation, relationship concept, 8th standard arithmetic.

General Driving Awareness: The test will include common questions on General Knowledge, Traffic Rules, knowledge about Motor Vehicles, their maintenance and repair.

Indian Ordnance Factories Skill Test: Skill Test for Indian Ordnance Factory on Driving shall be conducted for only those candidates who attain a minimum qualifying standard in the Indian Ordnance Factories 2010 written examination. Number of candidates to be called for the Skill Test should be 1:5 i.e. five times the number of vacancies in Ordnance Factories.

The Skill Test on driving will be same / similar to the tests as are being conducted by the RTOs for giving Driving license. The grading of candidates (selected in written test) will be done based on their assessed skill in driving.

Indian Ordnance Factories Recruitment 2010 General Conditions:

1. The General Manager reserves the right to change the number of vacancies in Indian Ordnance Factories and to adopt any reasonable criteria for adopting the short listing of candidates such as considering the cases of candidates having any desirable qualification.
2. Indian Ordnance Factories Application should be accompanied with a fee of Rs.50/- through Crossed Indian Postal Order or Bank Draft in the name of General Manager, Metal & Steel Factory, Ishapore payable at Ishapore.
3. Candidates are advised not to attach false / bogus certificates - Attested copies of educational, experience and other certificates should be enclosed with the Indian Ordnance Factory Application.
4. The candidates applying for the Fire Engine Driver post should submit their application as per Proforma given Newspaper Cutting should not be used as Indian Ordnance Factories Application Form.
5. The Last Date of receipt of Indian Ordnance Factories application is 21 (Twenty one) days from the date of publication of this advertisement. Ordnance Factories Applications received after the last date will neither be considered, nor any correspondence in this regard will be accepted. Name of post applied for must be clearly written on the Top of Envelope. Indian Ordnance Factory will not be responsible for any postal delay.
6. The candidates working in Government Service / PSUs must submit their application through proper channel along with the Certificates from their Head of Office / Establishment that no vigilance or disciplinary case is pending nor contemplated against them, (and that they have no objection in releasing them in case of selection). Indian Ordnance Factory Application not accompanied with the attested copies / documents etc. or received after due date will be summarily rejected.
7. Candidates appearing for Indian Ordnance Factories Written Test and Skill Test will travel at their own expenses.
8. SC / ST candidates appearing for Written Test and Indian Ordnance Factories Skill Test will be paid passenger train / rail fare to and fro as admissible under rules.
9. Only attested copies of Educational & Technical Qualifications, Experience Certificates, Certificate for Physically Handicap and other certificate are to be enclosed with the Indian Ordnance Factories application.
10. Ordnance Factories Applications without full details / attested copies of Certificates, Self - attested Photograph and also not conforming to the required specifications and received after last date will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be made / entertained in this regard.
11. The eligible candidates fulfilling the requisite specifications may submit their application to the following address on plain paper duty typed or printed as per prescribed proforma.

12. The candidate should fill up the columns, in the application and affix a recent (not more than 03 months old) self attested passport size photograph on the Indian Ordnance Factories Application Form and enclose 02 (Two) more copies of same photograph duly self - attested along with his application.
13. Only selected candidates would be informed for their selection in due course after the Indian Ordnance Factories selection process and no other correspondence on the subject would be entertained.
14. No GPF and DCRG Scheme is admissible under Central Govt. w.e.f. 01.01.2004. The New Pension Scheme i.e. Defined Contribution Pension Scheme is compulsory for all Central Govt. Employees.
15. Cut off date for Indian Ordnance Factories eligibility of age will be last date of receipt of Ordnance Factories application.
16. Ex-serviceman candidate should submit attested Discharge Certificate along with the application for Indian Ordnance Factories, otherwise the application will be rejected.
17. The above Indian Ordnance Factories Recruitment of the candidate is subject to such amendments as may be warranted due to changed circumstances, if any under any order / judgment passed by the Hon'ble Court.
