I) Polyolefin Catalysts / Polymerization including Pilot Plant:
Ph.D in Chemistry with specialization in Organo-metallics Or Ph.D in Polymer Science with specialization in Organometallics catalysts and polymerization processes.
Candidates with the following experience will be preferred:
Synthesis of organometallic compounds Handling of sensitive chemicals / materials Synthesis and characterization of Ziegler-Natta/metallocene catalysts Polymerization / copolymerisation of ethylene, propylene and higher olefins using Ziegler-Natta/metallocene catalysts Bench scale polymerization reactors / pilot plant.
II) Polymer Rheology:
Ph.D in Polymer Science / Polymer Engineering. Or Ph.D in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science / Physical Chemistry with knowledge of polymer rheology and hands - on experience with rheometers. Candidates having experience on polyolefin rheology will be preferred.
III) PTA/PX Process / Catalyst:
B.Tech. & M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering Or Ph.D in Physical / Inorganic Chemistry with specialization in heterogeneous Catalysis. Candidates having research experience in catalyst synthesis and characterization work related to aromatic petrochemicals shall be preferred.
Minimum 60 % marks in Graduation as well as in Post - Graduation.
Experience:
For Grade C, minimum 5-6 yrs. and for Grade B minimum 2-3 yrs. of relevant R&D experience after the basic qualification / degree specifically in the area of Polyolefins i.e Polyethylene / Polypropylene. The R&D experience must be supported by patents / international publications.

Qualification:
Ph.D - thesis in the area of a) Heterogeneous catalysis or Material synthesis for catalytic application. Must have experience in various catalytic / Zeolitic materials preparation. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the area of metal supported catalysts, mixed oxides, modification of Zeolites and related materials. Candidates should be familiar with catalyst/catalytic material characterization and data interpretation of various analytical tools. Also should be capable of carrying out independent research, data handling / interpretation and report writing. Publication in national & international journals.
Minimum 60% marks in Graduation as well as in Post-Graduation.
Experience:
For Grade B: 5-8 Yrs. in Catalysis research in the area of FCC/RFCC, Hydroprocessing, Isomerisation, Alkylation, Demerisation, FT Synthesis in Research Laboratories or Industrial Labs. |
