Appointment to the Post of General Manager (Information Technology) and General Manager (Engineering) on Deputation Basis in the Food Corporation of India Delhi.

The Food Corporation of India, one of the largest Public Sector Undertakings, dealing with Food Management and Allied activities, proposes to fill up the post of General Manager (Information Technology) and General Manager (Engineering) in the IDA pattern pay scale of Rs.32, 900 - 58,000 (the equivalent CDA pattern pay scale of Rs.37, 400 - 67,000 + Rs.8,700/- Grade Pay) on deputation basis from suitable officers working in other Government Departments / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies having the requisite qualification and experience as indicated below:

FCI Recruitment of General Manager (Information Technology) 2010

Educational Qualification for FCI Jobs:

1. B.E or B.Tech Degree in Electronics / Information Technology / Computer Science and Engineering with 55% marks (50% for Reserved category candidates) from a UGC recognized / AICTE Accredited University / Institution. Or
2. Any Graduate Degree with 55% marks in the aggregate (50% for reserved category candidates), from a UGC recognized / AICTE accredited university / Institution; and
   1. A Masters in Computer Applications (MCA) Degree with 55% marks in the aggregate (50% for Reserved category candidates) from a UGC recognized / AICTE Accredited University / Institution; or
   2. A 'B' level Qualification of DOEACC Society with 55% marks (50% of Reserved Category candidates).

Work Experience for Food Corporation of India Vacancies:

A minimum post - qualification experience of 10 years, of which

(i) At least 5 years should be with the IT Department / Division of a Government / Public Sector Undertaking as an Officer in the revised IDA pay scale of Rs.24,900 - 50,500 or CDA pay scale of Rs.15,600 - 39,100 + Rs.6600/- Grade pay (pre-revised IDA pay scale of Rs.13,000 - 350 - 18,250 or CDA pay scale of Rs.10,000 - 325 - 15,200) preferably with experience in the following areas:

• Procurement of high end servers and testing.
• Managing a large data centre.
• Designing and Implementing a large network.
• Designing, developing and implementing complex software.
• Being involved in the design / Implementation of IT Infrastructure in Policy Formulation for IT in the organization.

FCI Recruitment of General Manager (Engineering)

Educational Qualifications & Work Experience for FCI Vacancies:

1. Degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering of a recognized university or equivalent.
2. About 10 years experience of Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Works, of which about 5 years should be in the capacity of Executive Engineer or equivalent.

FCI Recruitment 2010 Desirable Qualifications:

1. Master's Degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with specialized knowledge of Rice Mills, Food Processing Industries, preparation of designs and specifications, maintenance and operation of mechanical handling equipment at ports / godowns.
2. Persons who have held independent charge of Engineering Division of Industrial Establishment / Public Sector Undertakings and have had experience of planning and execution of projects will be preferred.

The pay and other benefits of the officer will be fixed in accordance with the conditions laid down by the Government of India from time to time.

The period of deputation shall initially be 2 years, extendable, up to five years, on yearly basis, with the consent of both the Food Corporation of India organizations.
