Central Employment Exchange Applications are invited for the following post(s) by the various employers indicated in the advertisement up to 12.07.2010 in the prescribed format given at the end of the advertisement.

In respect of applications sent only by post / speed post from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti district and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, A&N Islands or Lakshadweep or abroad. The last date of receipt of Central Employment Exchange Application Form 2010 by the Employer is 19.07.2010.

Applications received after due date will not be considered. Candidates are required to send their application direct to the respective employers.

Minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. (Chemistry as principal and Physics / Mathematics / Statistics / Biology as subsidiary subjects).

Minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (Physics subject in B.Sc. should be at least with equal weightage) and one year Diploma in Computer Science with minimum 60% marks).

Hearing Impairment means loss of 60 decibles or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Physical deformity should not be less than 40 percentage.

Physical Standards for Recruitment in Central Employment Exchange 2010 : Minimum Height : 160 cms. Minimum Weight : 45.5 Kgs. (Relaxable if the candidate is otherwise medically fit)

Total duration of training period : One year.

Stipend during training : Rs.9300A p.m.

Pay Band : Rs.9300-34800/- + Grade Pay: Rs.4200/- (after completion of training).

Age for Scientific Assistant in BARC : 19-24 years (as on 01.05.2010).

Duties :

Post No. Discipline BARC Scientific Assistant Duties
1.1 Mechanical Engineering
To assist in designing / installation / commissioning / testing / data analysis / inspection of plant / chemical process plant and equipment; oversee preparation of drawings / fabrication / commissioning; to work in CNC machines; application of autocad; supervision, operation and maintenance of plant and related site activities of mechanical utility system in round the clock / general shift.
1.2 Chemical Engineering
To participate in design / procurement and inspection of chemical equipments; to participate in and supervise erection / testing / commissioning / operation / data logging / trouble shooting / maintenance jobs in areas pertaining to chemical process equipment / machinery / plants. To work round the clock shift.
1.3 Instrumentation
Inspection / testing / calibration / operation / and maintenance of instruments associated with process control and to work in the field of computerized controls; oversee execution of process control instrument panels by use of P&l diagrams.
1.4 Electronics
Assembling / testing / calibration / maintenance and service support of variety of electronic instruments / circuits, PCBs and miniature electronic components; design / development and operation of industrial electronic systems like PLC PCB and calibration of instruments.
1.5 Electrical
To assist in engineering in design, installations and commissioning of electrical equipments, testing, execution of electrical jobs like HT / LT panels, their inspection and maintenance.
1.6 Information Technology
Computer system administration, software development.
1.7 Metallurgy
Mechanical / fracture toughness testing, crip testing, data analysis, material fabrication / surface / heat treatment; testing and characterization of materials, instrumental methods of inspection / analysis; work on non-destructive testing, fabrication of appropriate samples etc.
1.8 Telecommunication
Maintenance of telecommunication network at EHPPL site Kalyan, planning and assistance in data acquisition networks of experimental systems. Preparation of experimental data sheets communication
1.9 Chemistry
Radio pharmaceutical programme; R&D on new radio pharmaceutical; to assist in the processing of radiochemicals from irradiated targets, radiochemical analysis of different samples, environmental matrices, conducting experiment related to chemical engineering activities including process development and quality management etc; qualitative / quantitative chemical analysis by physical / volumetric/ gravimetric / instrumental methods.
1.10 Physics
Assist in theoretical / experimental research work; operation of variety of equipment, preparation of samples, characterization of materials, measurement of physical, thermophysical, physicomechanical and transport properties, data interpretation, to work in special fields like nuclear / high pressure physics / radiation protection in nuclear fuel facilities / X-ray defraction / dilatometer and associated R&D activities; data acquisition and instrumental analysis.
1.11 Computer Science
Computer operation, networking, software development, website maintenance, database maintenance, software maintenance and generation of MIS reports; assistance in the conduct of experiments in Nuclear Physics and Electronics Laboratories, project monitoring activities and preparation of progress reports using MS Office software packages.

Note :

  1. After completion of training the candidates will be appointed as Scientific Assistant / B in the pay band of Rs.9300-34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs.4200/-.
  2. Bond : Selected candidates will have to execute a bond to complete the training and serve BARC or any of the consultant units of DAE, if offered appointment after the training, for a period of 4 years after absorption. A trainee who fails to complete the training or serve the Government for 4 years if offered appointment will be liable to pay to the Government a sum equivalent to entire aggregate amount of stipend received by him during the period of training along with interest thereon.
  3. Relaxation in upper age limit is also admissible to :
    1. those ordinarily domiciled in Kashmir division during the period from 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989.
    2. children / family members of those who died in the 1984 riots.
  4. Those candidate who have passed M.Sc. / Degree in Engg. / AMIE / equivalent or appearing for M.Sc. / Degree in Engg. / AMIE / equivalent (final year) will not be considered, and hence need not apply.
  5. Candidates with 60% marks in B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects with equal weightage will also be considered. However, they should clearly indicate their choice (Chemistry or Physics) in their application forms, [applicable for Post No.1.9 (Chemistry) & 1.10 (Physics)].
  6. Mathematics at HSC (10+2) level is essential for the Post No.1.9 to 1.11.
  7. The application and the outer cover should be superscribed as "Central Employment Exchange Application for the post of category-I indicating Post No. and discipline / name of the Post.
  8. A recent passport size photograph should be affixed on the right top corner of the application. One additional copy of the passport size photograph should also be sent along with the application.
