Defence Research and Development Organisation invites applications from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Senior Administrative Officer Grade-II on deputation basis (including short term contract) in DRDO.

The selected officers will be entitled to normal deputation terms as admissible under the Central Government Rules in force from time to time (i.e. as per DOP&T norms).

The period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation / department of the Central Govt should not exceed three years.

Officers of the following categories need not apply for the above mentioned posts.

1. who have not been appointed on regular basis,
2. who have not completed the probation period in their grade,
3. who have attained 56 years of age before the last date of receipt of applications,
4. The departmental candidates in the feeder grade who are in direct line of promotion.

1. Complete and up to date ACRs of the officers for the last 5 years (2004-05 to 2008-09) or attested photocopies thereof. Each page of Photocopies of ACRs must be attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent.
2. Certificate / details of major / minor penalties imposed, if any, on the officer during last 10 years.
3. Vigilance and disciplinary clearance certificate.
4. Integrity certificate.

DRDO Applications received after the last date or without aforesaid documents / information or otherwise incomplete will not be considered.

Senior Administrative Officer Job Description for DRDO Recruitment 2010:

(a) Number of posts* : 09 (Nine).

(b) Location* : Agra, Ahmednagar, Chennai, Cochin, Dehraduh Delhi, Jagdalpur, Leh, Pune and Vizag.

(c) Senior Administrative Officer Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 (PB-3) with Grade Pay Rs. 5400 (Rs. 8000-13500 Pre-revised).

* Note: The number of Senior Administrative Officer posts and locations given above are subject to change depending upon the requirement existing at the time of appointment.

Qualitative Requirements for DRDO Recruitment 2010:

(A) Officers under the Central or State Government or Union territory Administration or Autonomous organisation or Semi-Government organisation or Public sector undertakings

1. Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department Or
2. With five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Pay Band-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 and Grade Pay of Rs. 4600 (Rs. 6,500-10,500 pre-revised) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department and

(B) Possessing educational qualification's and experience as under:

DRDO Recruitment 2010 Essential Qualification for Senior Administrative Officer Jobs:

1. Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
2. 04 years experience of administration, establishment and accounts work in a supervisory capacity under the Central or State Government or Union Territory Administration or a Public sector undertaking or an Autonomous organisation or a Semi Government organisation or a commercial concern.

Note 1: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note 2: The Qualification regarding regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.

If at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.

1. Diploma in Personnel Management or Industrial Relations from a recognised Institution.
2. Experience in Scientific or Industrial or Technical Organisation or Department.
