Appointment to the post of Accounts Officer in DRDO, Ministry of Defence, on deputation / absorption basis.
Five posts of Accounts Officer in Pay Band-2 (Rs.9300-34800) with Grade Pay Rs.4600 (Gp 'B' Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) are required to be filled on deputation / absorption basis in various Labs / Estts of DRDO located at Chandigarh, Delhi, Gwalior, Kanpur, Pune and Dehradun. The number of DRDO vacancies and their locations as indicated above are tentative and subject to change depending upon requirement at the time of DRDO Selection / Appointment.
Eligibility for Accounts Officer Jobs in DRDO 2010 : Officers of the Central Government :
Holding analogous posts on regular basis Or
With two years regular service in posts in the pay scale of Rs.6500-10500 (old scale) or equivalent Or
With five years regular service in posts in the pay scale of Rs.5500-9000 (old scale) or equivalent and
Possessing any of the following DRDO Qualifications :
A pass in the Subordinate Accounts Service or equivalent examination conducted by any of the Organised Accounts Departments of the Central Government.
Successful completion of training in the cash and accounts work conducted by the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management or equivalent and experience in cash, accounts budget work.
Officers of the following categories need not apply for the above mentioned posts :
Who have not been appointed on regular basis.
Who have attained 56 years of age before the last date of receipt of applications.
The departmental officers in the feeder category who are in direct line of promotion.
The DRDO selected officers will be appointed under the normal terms and conditions prescribed in this regard by the Govt of India. The period of deputation, including the period of deputation in the ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation / department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
It is requested that application (in duplicate and counter-signed by the Cadre Controlling Authority), as per the given proforma, alongwith photocopies of complete and up-to-date ACRs for the last five years (2004-05 to 2008-09) of the officers who could be spared in the event of their selection, may be sent to the following address within a period of 60 days from the date of publication of DRDO advertisement (dated on 03.07.2010).
Photocopies of the ACRs should be attested on each page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent in the Central Govt, failing which the application of the candidate shall be summarily rejected. In the event of selection, the applicant will not be allowed to withdraw his candidature.

DRDO Applications received after the last date or without duly attested copies of ACRs as indicated above or without the counter-signature of the employer, or otherwise incomplete, will not be considered. No action will be taken on advance copies of the applications or applications, which are not received through proper channel.
