Damodar Valley Corporation, one of the premier power utilities in India engaged in Thermal / Hydel Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution with its Head Quarters in Kolkata. For Departmental Candidates : Graduate in Commerce with at least 3 (three) years service in regular establishment of DVC.
Desirable: Knowledge of the use of Computer. |
Note:
Final year / semester appearing candidates for posts from SI. No.1, 2, 3 & 4 are also eligible to apply if their aggregate marks from 1st to 7th semester is 65% & above for UR / OBC and 60% & above for SC / ST subject to production of pass certificate on the date of DVC Interview in terms of QR as shown in the respective column above.
Departmental (DVC) candidates belonging to PH category having passed AMIE in respective disciplines are also eligible to apply for the posts no. 2010/6, 2010/7, 2010/8 & 2010/9.
Reservation and Relaxation for DVC Recruitment 2010 :
Reservations and relaxations for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped (degree of disability 40% or above) candidates will be provided as per GOI Directives.
Category (SC / ST / PH) once filled in will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on.
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST, candidates. For PH candidates, it is relaxable by 10 years for PH-General, 13 years for PH-OBC and 15 years for PH-SC / ST candidates.
There is no age bar for departmental (DVC) candidates.
The OBC candidates who belong to "Creamy Layer" are not entitled for OBC concession and such candidates have to indicate their category not as OBC but as General only.
OBC / SC / ST / PH category candidates have to submit the attested copy of the Caste / PH certificate in GOI format. For specimen GOI formats on reservation for SC / ST / OBC (Non-Creamy) & PH please refer for SC / ST, OBC, PH in the relevant page of DVC website www.dvc.gov.in.

DVC Kolkata Recruitment 2010 Selection Process :
Eligible candidates will have to undergo a Selection Test, if so decided, followed by Personal Interview of short listed candidates. Based on merit and vacancy requirement, the list of successful candidates for interview will be made available at www.dvc.gov.in.
Service Agreement Bond:
All the selected candidates for appointment against posts from SI No.1 to 5 will be required to execute a Service Agreement Bond of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs) in the prescribed format to be submitted at the time of joining for serving at least two years in DVC.
Compensation Package:
Selected candidates will be placed in the Pay Band with the corresponding Grade Pay as shown in Column 6 of the above Table. Besides basic pay, candidates will also be paid Central Dearness Allowance.
Other Allowances and benefits such as leave medical treatment, Leave Travel Allowance, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Conveyance Allowance, and HRA etc admissible as per Corporation rules in force from time to time. Medical Officers are additionally entitled to NPA as per Corporation rules.
