CSIR is looking for outstanding R & D professionals for the post of Scientist 'H'/Outstandina Scientist to head its prestiqious CSIR Centre/Unit of CSIR.

Established in 1988, it is a well known Centre for Modelling and Simulation Studies and has acquired over the years a formidable reputation and standing nationally and internationally in the multi and trans disciplinary niche areas of scientific analysis and technological design.
Although the Centre has core scientific and technical staff of only 18 Ph.Ds in cross-cutting science domains they are all outstanding scientists in their areas of expertise.
The research areas of the Centre cover Modelling of Hazard Environments, Solid Earth, Earthquakes, Landslides, Extreme Rainfall Events, Carbon cycle, Climate Change, Ocean, Pollution and new drugs design.
For instance, it is now studying evolutionary features of cyclones originating in the Bay of Bengal for weather forecasts and other activities.
It has established one of the most advanced computing environments in the country like SGI Altix servers and workstations.

Head, CSIR Unit for Research and Development of Information Products (URDIP), Pune: URDIP is a specialized service unit of CSIR, which has made it name in mapping domain specific information and develop value added products there of in electronic, online and web based formats.
It is involved in the pre-research and pre-development phase, including patent analysis and knowledge mapping, of various S&T driven national programmes of CSIR and other science agencies including several national and multinational companies.
Its customer base boasts of a number of most venerable companies in private sector which generates a large revenue for this Unit. URDIP is also developing number of subject specific information services and deploys information and communication technologies to expand the reach.
URDIP has the vision to create e-knowledge markets for innovation and technical services by doing value addition to CSIR knowledge base. URDIP is well equipped with modern computing environment and has access to a large number of databases. It has a current staff strength of about 100 including the project staff.

Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC), Ghaziabad: Set-up in the year 2002, with the mission to promote a professional and holistic human resource management for R&D and support functions in CSIR, the Centre, inter alia, seeks to:
- Act as an idea generator, thinker and facilitator for CSIR in the area of human resource development;
- Develop best practices in HR management by networking with other leading HR institutions / organizations;
- Develop cost effective training methodologies / aids.
Spread over 56 acres of land with lush green lawns, the Centre is engaged in human resource development activities for meeting multiple skill needs of CSIR personnel for whom it conducts skill-upgradation, leadership pipeline development, orientation and refresher programmes round the year, averaging about 50 programmes annually.
The Centre has launched initiatives to network with leading management institutions / associations and other organizations having similar objectives. The Centre is very well equipped in terms of all HRM related facilities including a large residential facility. The current staff strength of about 25, including 5faculty members.

Head, R & D Planning and Performance, CSIR Headquarters, New Delhi: CSIR is a vast diversified, dynamic, industrial R & D organization with an annual budget of about Rs.2200 crores.
The R & D Planning and Performance Division plays a crucial role in shaping the present and future research planning policies of CSIR, and Performance Monitoring there of.
Head of this strategic division is responsible for organizational, strategic & perspective planning, support to activities of national/international research alliances, policy formulation for technology diffusion and R&D management, and development/promotion of organizational business linkages.
