Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) a schedule B Mini Ratna PSU engaged in scientific storage of Agriculture and other commodities, logistics including Container logistics invites applications from Indian Nationals, who fullfil the prescribed qualification, age etc. as indicated below for filling up 4(four) post of Hindi Translator. Three posts are reverved for OBC, one for SC, including one for Physically Handicapped in the pay scale of Rs. Rs.6050-210-11720(IDA) (pre-revised). At present, the vacancies are at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, & Panchkula. However, these posts are transferable any where in the country.
Masters degree of a recognised University in Hindi/English with English/Hindi as main subjects at degree level Or Masters degree of a recognized University in any subject with Hindi as the medium of instructions and examination, with English as a comlpulsory subject at degree level Or Bachelors Degree with Hindi and English as main subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and other as a main subject plus recognised Diploma/Certificate Course in Translation from Hindi to English and Vice versa or two years experience of Translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central/State Government Offices including Government of India Undertaking.
The post carries IDA pattern pay scale and usual allowances thereon such as HRA and leave Travel facilities etc. The scale carries DA on percentage basis. The scale is likely to be revised.

The number of vacancies is subject to vary depending upon administrative exigencies. Further, the filling up of vacancy would be made subject to the outcome of the Writ Petition pending in the courts.
OBC Applicants shall submit their application along with the Demand Draft for Rs.300/-(Rs. three hundred only) drawn in favour of Central Warehousing Corporation payable at New Delhi. No fee for Sc Candidates (Cheques and IPOs will not be accepted).
Self attested Photostat Copies of documents as proof of age, qualifications, caste etc. should be attached with the application. Original certificates will however be scrutinized/verified at the time of interview.
Incomplete application or application not in the prescribed Proforma shall summarily be rejected.
No correspondence will be entertained about the outcome of the applilcation.

Application complete in all respect in an envelope superscribed – Application for the post of Hindi Translator should reach by 25.08.2009. No application shall be entertained after the last date of receipt of application.
The prescribed qualification, age limit etc. shall be reckoned as on 01.07.2009 The maximum age limit can be relaxed by 5 years in case of SC candidates and 3 years for OBC (ii) The age limit for PH candidates is relaxed by 10 years(15 years for (PH) SC and 13 years (PH) OBC candidates). (iii) Age is also relaxable by 5 years to those who had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989. Any person intending to avail the relaxation under this category shall submit a certificate from (a) The District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisidction he had resided or (b) any other authority designated by the Govt.of J & K to the effect that he had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989.
There will be a written test on the subject, general English/Hindi/General Knowledge/awareness and the short listed candidates will be called for personal interview.
On qualifying the written test and interview, eligible candidate will be appointed as Hindi Translator based on the merit.
All appointment will be subject to the Rules and Regulations of the Central Warehousing Corporation in-force from time to time. Other benefits like CPF, Gratuity, Leave travel concessions, Leave encashment, Medical reimbursement, conveyance reimbursement, lunch subsidy etc. shall be applicable as per the rules of the CWC as amended from time to time.
No TA will be provided for the written test. However, for attending interview, candidates will be given 2nd class Rail fare To and Fro by the shortest route subject to production of railway tickets.
In case it is found that information furnished by a candidate is defective in any manner, the candidature will be summarily rejected as and when it comes to the notice of the Management. The candidates are advised to satisfy themselves fully about the correctness of the inforamtion furnished.
