Central Ordnance Depot Applications are invited by Commandant Central Ordnance Depot Agra from eligible Indian National candidates for filling up the COD Agra Vacancies of Cook as per following terms and conditions:

Note:

1. The COD Vacancies are subject to increase / decrease at the discretion of the Commandant.
2. The SC / ST / PH candidates who apply against the post are not entitled for age and other concession meant for them.
3. Physically Handicapped candidates as per the following category, functional classification and physical requirement can apply against the post. Such candidates will be considered for selection for appointment by general standard of merit:

Abbreviation:

• BL - Both leg affected but not arm.
• F - work performed by manipulating (with fingers).
• PP - Work performed by pulling and pushing.
• L - work performed by lifting.
• B - work performed by bending.
• S - Work performed by sitting (on bench or chair).
• ST - work performed by standing.
• W - work performed by walking.

Pay Scales for COD Agra Recruitment 2010: PB1 - Rs.5200 - 20200 + Grade Pay Rs.1,900.

Age as on Last date of submission of COD Application:

• General (UR) - 18 to 25 Years.
• OBC - 18 to 28 Years.

Qualification for Central Ordnance Depot Recruitment:

1. Matriculation or equivalent examination of recognized University / Board.
2. Must have knowledge of Indian Cooking and proficiency in trade.

Note:

1. Merely fulfilling the basic essential qualification does not automatically entitle a person to be called for Test / Interview.
2. No extra weightage is to be given for additional / extra / higher qualification in COD recruitment.

Nature of Test for Central Ordnance Depot Agra Recruitment:

COD 2010 Written test will be conducted followed by interview and practical of selected candidates based on merit list of written exam.

Syllabus for Central Ordnance Depot Written Test:

• General awareness.
• Questions related to trade skill (Cooking).
• Food preservation.
• Cleanliness and hygine.

Date of Test / Interview / Practical:

Date of Test / Interview / Practical will be intimated to eligible candidates individually. The number of candidates to be called for interview will be restricted to 10 times of number of vacancies in Central Ordnance Depot as per merit list based on COD written exam.

Probation for COD Vacancies: Candidate selected will remain on probation for a period of 2 years.

COD Recruitment 2010 Physical Standards: Should be of sound health.

Likely area of employment: COD Agra subject to All India service liability.

Location of test centre (s): ME line COD Agra.

Method of Applying for Central Ordnance Depot Agra Recruitment 2010:

1. The candidate who fulfils the above mentioned requirements may forward his application along with connected documents at the following address, using COD application form neatly typed on good quality paper strictly as per format given along with certified true copies of testimonials and a self addressed envelope so as to reach by due date:

2. The COD applications received after due date will not be entertained under any circumstances, Exact date and time for test / practical / interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates individually. No TA / DA will be admissible to the candidate for appearing in the test / practical / interview.

3. Commandant COD Agra will not he responsible for any postal delay, any injury which may occur during the physical, test / endurance test and any other injury which may occur during the process of testing / selection.

4. The envelope containing application should be marked boldly "For the Post of Cook (ST / SC / OBC / General / Ex-Serviceman / Physically Handicapped Candidates)" (delete category not applicable).

5. Candidates will be allowed to appear in test only if they produce the Central Ordnance Depot Admission Card at the time of tests / interview.

Last date for submission of COD application form in Central Ordnance Depot Agra is 19 December 2009.

Documents to be attached with the COD Agra Application:

1. Affix recent passport size photograph, duly attested by a authorized Officer at space earmarked on application form and acknowledgement slip.
2. One Self addressed stamped envelope of size 12x28 Cms bearing stamps for registered post value.
3. Attested true photocopies of the following:
   • Certified true copy of Matriculation or the equivalent examination certificate regarding date or birth.
   • Educational certificates along with mark sheet regarding required minimum qualification as mentioned for the post.
   • Certificate issued by the competent authority in support of the claim of SC / ST / OBC / Ex-Servicemen / Physical Handicapped.
   • Current Employment Exchange Registration Card if held.
   • Any other documents relevant, in support of information furnished in the application form.
   • No original documents / certificates are to be sent.

COD Agra Recruitment 2010 Acknowledgement:

Central Ordnance Depot application received in time will be acknowledged by returning the Acknowledgement Card cum Admission Card in self addressed envelope. No acknowledgement other than this will be sent.

No acknowledgement / intimation of any sort will be given where, self - addressed envelope is not found enclosed with the application - Acknowledgement card, will be sent only to those applicant whose applications are found, in order along with requisite supporting documents and who meet the minimum required standards fixed by Commandant COD Agra.

Short Listings:

If large numbers of applications are received for any post, Comdt COD Agra reserves the right to restrict the number of applications for any of the posts by fixing a cut off percentage of marks obtained in required minimum qualification or any other criteria as fixed in case no minimum educational qualification is prescribed.

Rejection: The following act / omission would render candidate / COD application rejected:

1. Furnishing of false, inaccurate or tampered information, or
2. Obtaining support for his candidature by any means, or
3. Impersonation by any person, or
4. Submitting fabricated documents, or
5. Making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information, or
6. Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his candidature for the selection, or
7. Improper filling of applications, or
8. More than one application submitted by the candidate for the same post.
9. Any other reason that justifies rejection as observed by the Board of Officers.
10. Applications not found as per format, will be rejected.
